The world of Doctor Who has changed greatly in the space of just 10 years. The cast and crew have almost completely been replaced since 2005, including a number of new actors to play the errant Time Lord and his companions.
But what has happened to the class of '05? Where are Rose and Mickey now? What is the writer of 'Dalek' up to? And where can you see more work from the director of 'Rose'?
Here it is then, your guide to the main players of Doctor Who series one.
The Cast
After his three-month on-screen stint as the Doctor, Christopher Eccleston's career continued in much the same vein, taking in theatre, interesting television roles and the odd blockbuster.
Post-2005, the Northern actor went Stateside to take on the role of invisible man Claude in the Us series Heroes. From there, he popped up in a very amusing Doctor Who-esque cameo as Dr.

Will Ferrell celebrated St. Patrick's Day in style when he showed up on the Late Show with David Letterman dressed as a giant leprechaun.
While donning his all-green garbs, the comedian decided to call out a fellow Irishman. Ferrell recalled seeing Bill O'Reilly at the SNL 40 special this past month, and said the Fox News host didn't look like he was having a good time. Ferrell told Letterman that he was looking for audience reactions as the opening monologue began, and saw O'Reilly sitting there with his head rested on his fist, not smiling.

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
It was St. Patrick's Day Tuesday night, so the late night talk shows celebrated. There was a lot of good stuff going on, related to the holiday or not. Jimmy Kimmel got drunk and slurred his words on air while doing squats with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on his back, but wait a minute on that. Seriously, though, it was that kind of night overall.
Will Ferrell was on David Letterman's show - dressed as a leprechaun - and sang his own version of "Danny Boy," focused around snakes. It was very emotional, and left Dave in tears. Will was very serious about St. Patrick's Day and the dangers of snake attacks.

Update: Following yesterday's stills (see below), here now is Run All Night's first trailer, in which Liam Neeson and Ed Harris set out the story's violent stakes before the running and the headbutting and the punching and the shooting and the Danny Boy-singing kick off. Director Jaume Collet-Serra's latest dose of Neeson mayhem gets properly underway on May 1.Captain Beefheart had to run all day to find a clear spot, but for Liam Neeson it's recently been necessary to Run All Night. With Taken 3 (or Tak3n if you must) out in cinemas, Warner Bros. has seized the opportunity to release the first particular set of stills from Neeson's next actioner. His third film with director Jaume Collet-Serra (following Unknown and Non-Stop), this one co-stars Ed Harris, Joel Kinnaman, Vincent D'Onofrio, Nick Nolte and Common. You'll find some of those names in the images that follow.

Daniel Grayson died during "Revenge's" completely insane mid-season finale, an event so tragic that our holiday break was spent stuffing yule logs into our faces in mourning. In case you need a quick refresher, poor Daniel was wandering around the beach outside Emily Thorne's house (as ya do) when he made the mistake of going inside only to get shot by corrupt FBI Agent Kate Taylor. The good news is that Jack "Worst Cop Ever" Porter showed up and killed Kate, but the bad news is that Daniel's most definitely dead -- and now Victoria's having a hysterical meltdown all over the place. In other words, it's time for revenge!

Maureen O’Hara, now 94, took time to fondly remember the Hollywood greats from her past such as John Wayne and John Ford. Legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki said he was just happy to be in the same room as Maureen O’Hara. Masterful screenwriter Jean-Claude Carriere gave a moving tribute to Hollywood’s “forgotten” writers. And Harry Belafonte, winner of the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, galvanized the industry crowd by asking them to aim higher.

A fan-made video of The Muppets rapping Beastie Boys’ “What’cha Want” has gone viral as a well-deserved pick-me-up.
The Swedish Chef, Animal, Beaker Rap Beastie Boys
The video stars Animal, the Swedish Chef and Beaker, all wearing white turtlenecks and green berets, edited to look like they are rapping the lyrics of Beastie Boys’ 1992 classic.
The funny video, barely a minute long, was released on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The footage, put together by Mylo the Cat, was originally from The Muppets’ performing “Danny Boy,” an Irish classic. Mylo the Cat dedicated the video to Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, who died in 2012.
Mylo the Cat has produced other Muppets mash-ups, including Fozzie Bear singing Bob Marley’s “Iron Lion Zion” and Miss Piggy singing Miley Cyrus' “Wrecking Ball.”...

There are cover songs, and then there are Muppets cover songs…dun, dun, Dun! But no, really, the Muppets make everything better, right?! Mylo the Cat, the Swedish Chef, Animal and Beaker are all bringing us the joy of watching them perform a shortened version of the Beastie Boys classic hit "So What'cha Want." It's magical, you guys. This certainly isn't the first time that the lovable puppets are jamming to the beat and singing along to famous songs, but it just might be our favorite. With every awards season comes a flood of “best of” compilations and top ten lists, but film scores can be tricky in that department. After all, different composers are operating on different levels, each one working toward a separate goal in his or her respective picture. Brian Tyler aims for something propulsive and heroic in Iron Man 3, while Saving Mr. Banks’ score apparently features Thomas Newman doing his best Thomas Newman impersonation. Lists can be tough when scores operate so independently of one another
So without further ado, I present my favorite film scores from 2013. Unranked:
Philomena – Alexandre Desplat
Saying Alexandre Desplat likes himself a mean waltz is like saying Johnny Depp likes himself a little eye makeup: they’re both gross understatements. Scoring Stephen Frears’ loose adaptation of Philomena Lee’s search for the son she was forced to give up at birth, Desplat makes his affinity abundantly clear with the title track,...

I don’t know whether he was a super villain or a sommelier, because in his origin story Reverse-Flash served a rather poor whine.
(Yes, I said that.)
First, we’re not talking about your father’s Reverse-Flash, Eobard Thawne. Or your older brother’s Reverse-Flash, Hunter Zolomon. We’re talking the New 52 Reverse-Flash, Daniel West. The one whose secret origin, which appeared in The Flash 23.2, was the biggest batch of bad whines since Mr. Boone got himself a farm.
(Yes, I said it again.)
Daniel narrates his own origin and makes a real sob story out of it. His mother died in childbirth. Daniel’s father blamed Daniel for his wife’s death so hated him. Daniel hated daddy back. Daniel did, however, love his sister, Iris West; yes, that Iris West. Daniel pushed his father down the stairs and daddy became a paraplegic. Then Daniel’s relationship with Iris soured.

San Diego is not just the historic Gaslamp Quarter, beautiful beaches, Navy ships and Comic-Con. There's a dark world beneath the Southern California sunshine, and Monday (Feb. 3), viewers can head back there with the third-season premiere of "The Devils Ride."
Sort of a reality-tv version of FX's "Sons of Anarchy," the show follows the rivalry between two motorcycle clubs, the Laffing Devils and the Sinister Mob Sindicate, both vying to dominate their home territory.
The two clubs were once one, until the Devils booted a volatile member who decided to form his own group. They're not quite the the law-flaunting crew of "Sons of Anarchy," but the bikers -- who include several military veterans and white-collar workers -- seek both adrenaline thrills and fraternal bonds.
Even so, things can often go seriously wrong. In this clip, which is exclusive to Zap2it, Devils prospect (short for prospective member) Ronnie talks...

The prospect of returning to series television was intimidating at first, Robin Williams said Wednesday night at TCA. The star of CBS’ The Crazy Ones said the worst part was “the pressure of it being A Robin Williams Vehicle”. Now the series is more of an ensemble, and “that’s the great joy for me – the pressure is off. It’s really become something I enjoy,” he said, adding that he no longer is nagged by the pressure of ” ‘You’re back on TV. After 32 years.’ The ensemble is so good, and we’re growing,” he said, speaking glowingly of the “steady gig like this with a great group of people.” Williams headlines the David E. Kelly comedy as Simon Roberts, head of a Chicago ad agency, whose daughter, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, is a business partner. Cast member, Hamish Linklater said the two of them assume most of the load on the show,...

Washington, Jan. 1: The 100-year-old ballad 'Danny Boy,' which was presumed to be of Irish origin, was actually written by an Englishman.
Fred Weatherly, a prolific songwriter - and later successful lawyer - who published 1,500 songs, was the person behind the song, it has been revealed.
Anthony Mann, Weatherly's great-grandson, said that one of the mysteries was how an Englishman, who'd never been to Ireland, was able to write something that immediately took off for the Irish. The answer to the question lies with Weatherly's sister-in-law, Margaret Weatherly, who was an Irish immigrant, and who sailed to the Us with Fred Weatherly's brother in search of silver in Colorado, CBS News revealed.

Signing Wheatley to helm Who is an enormous boon for the BBC's long-running sci-fi drama - he's a rising star and a unique talent. But which other big names would be a good fit for the show's director's chair?

Miami — Country singer Slim Whitman, the high-pitched yodeler who sold millions of records through ever-present TV ads in the 1980s and 1990s and whose song saved the world in the film comedy "Mars Attacks!," died Wednesday at a Florida hospital. He was 90.
Whitman died of heart failure at Orange Park Medical Center, his son-in-law Roy Beagle said.
Whitman's tenor falsetto and ebony mustache and sideburns became global trademarks – and an inspiration for countless jokes – thanks to the TV commercials that pitched his records.
But he was a serious musical influence on early rock, and in the British Isles, he was known as a pioneer of country music for popularizing the style there. Whitman also encouraged a teen Elvis Presley when he was the headliner on the bill and the young singer was making his professional debut.

From Taxi to Twins, Danny DeVito is one of Hollywood's most recognisable figures. He talks about family, hairdressing and arguing over politics with Schwarzenegger
Holy moly, it's Danny DeVito! One of the most ubiquitous actors of the 1980s and 90s, and certainly the most physically distinctive, is standing in a blandly corporate hotel room in Whitehall, of all random places a stone's throw away from No 10 Downing Street.

Few actors have ever looked like they're having as much fun as DeVito. From playing Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner's whirling dervish of an evil nemesis in Romancing the Stone, to sniping at Arnold Schwarzenegger in Twins, to waddling through his lair as the demonic Penguin in Batman Returns, DeVito has been...

The fact that 30 Rock is quickly coming to an end could not have been made more apparent the past couple of episodes. Last week Liz Lemon got married. And now, in "My Whole Life Is Thunder," Colleen Donaghy's death and Jenna's subsequent wedding were the stars of the show.
It created a real feeling finality, and that's not including what seemed like the end to Tracy and Kenneth in their week of pretending like they were on tv, which brought back the idea that Ken thinks Jacob from Lost is controlling his every move.

Van der Hooft said: "We will definitely invest in this business. The sale of erotic movies on DVD fell within a few years from top to flop because of the surprisingly fast emergence of free porn on the internet." The shops have added 3D porn James Bond spoof Octopussy, which stars stars Danny Mountain as James Bone, to their current (more)...
