It's no secret that we're already excited about an all-new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star!
It's Grace's turn for a storyline. They've already teased some family strife and our first introduction to Grace's sisters, featuring Sierra McClain's very own sisters, Lauryn and China McClain, on 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 4 Episode 13.
But it won't be solely family drama to contend with for Grace, as we'll definitely see her serving up her particular brand of genius and calm in the storm as a dispatcher.
And let's just say this one call she gets will leave you tongue-tied.
Seriously, it's anyone's worst nightmare if they're allergic to anything, and it's one of the series' most bizarre instances yet.
TV Fanatic was fortunate enough to score an exclusive clip of tonight's brand-new episode, and it'll leave you talking, not to mention grateful that you can actually speak in the first place.

The glass slippers still fit Brandy. The singer’s long-awaited return as Cinderella in a new Disney television movie has been given an official first look, courtesy of footage from the set of “Descendants: Rise of Red.” Brandy is reprising the role of Cinderella 26 years after becoming the princess opposite Whitney Houston’s Fairy Godmother in the 1997 television movie “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”
The set footage also confirmed that “Descendants: Rise of Red” will feature the return of Paolo Montalban, who played Brandy’s Prince Charming in the 1997 movie, which was groundbreaking for its multicultural casting. Charming is now king, and Cinderella is queen.
Variety confirmed last November that Brandy boarded the “Descendants” movie as Cinderella. Brandy will be slipping into those glass slippers once more, this time for the forthcoming Descendant sequel.
The singer’s reprisal of her role as Cinderella comes 25 years after she first made history as the first Black actor ever to portray the iconic Disney princess. Her original performance was in Walt Disney Television’s 1997 iteration of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s beloved musical Cinderella.
The Pocketwatch, a new story in the Descendant franchise, will see Brandy’s Cinderella journey to the kingdom of Auradon, an unincorporated territory of Wonderland, the magical and mysterious location in Alice in Wonderland.
After Cinderella’s teenage daughter Chloe (Malia Baker) crosses paths with Red (Kylie Cantrall), the teenage daughter of the tyrannical Queen of Hearts (Rita Ora), unexpected chaos in Auradon ensues.

Whitney Houston was right: "Impossible things are happening every day." The first Black woman to ever play Cinderella on screen and the Vocal Bible herself, Brandy will be wearing her glass slippers once again as she reprises the role for the "Descendants" prequel film, "The Pocketwatch" for Disney+, according to Variety. Brandy first played the role in the 1997 "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella" made-for-tv movie. At the time of release, the film was the most expensive made-for-tv film in history, a delightfully zany adaptation of the classic tale featuring catchy songs, an unbelievable costume design from Ellen Mirojnick, and a racially diverse cast that was a revolution.

In The Pocketwatch, Red (Kylie Cantrall), the teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe (Malia Baker), the adolescent daughter of Cinderella, cross paths at a meaningful celebration at Auradon when unexpected chaos throws Wonderland into further disarray. “In order to prevent an impending coup, they must join forces to travel back in time, via a magical pocket watch created by the Mad Hatter’s son, to stop an event that would lead to grave consequences,” reads the feature’s official logline.

The CW revealed last Friday that “Black Lightning” will conclude with its upcoming fourth season. The following day, actress China Anne McClain, who plays Jennifer Pierce/Lightning on the Cress Williams-led show, said she had already been planning to exit “Black Lightning” before the final-season announcement came.
“What I did know and have known along with the rest of the cast since before we even started shooting this season is that I am leaving the show and was leaving the show,” McClain told fans in a video she posted to Instagram Saturday. “This was going to be my last season, regardless of if it went on or not. For different reasons, that, to be honest, I don’t want to go into. I just want y’all to trust me on it.”
The actress made it clear during her video that her pre-planned exit from “Black Lightning” was not due to any behind-the-scenes conflicts.

“Black Lightning” will follow “Supergirl” out the door on The CW. The DC Comics series will conclude after its upcoming fourth season.
The CW said earlier it was developing a spinoff around the villain Painkiller, who has been played by Jordan Calloway. A backdoor pilot for the series will air as the seventh episode of the now-final fourth season.
“Black Lightning” returns Monday, Feb. 8.
Here’s a statement from showrunner/executive producer Sam Akil:
“When we first started the ‘Black Lighting’ journey, I knew that Jefferson Pierce and his family of powerful Black Women would be a unique addition to the super hero genre,” Akil said. “The love that Blerds and all comic book fans around the globe have shown this series over the past three seasons proved what we imagined, Black People Want To See Themselves in all their complexities.”

Today is part two of DC Fandome, the massive online fan event celebrating the worlds of DC comics, film, and television. Black cinema legend Robert Townsend (who directed two episodes of Black Lightning) spoke with actors James Remar, Jordan Calloway, Marvin Krondon Jones III, Chrstine Adams, China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams, and Cress Williams about the show and what they hope to see in the forthcoming season.
Cress Williams, Black Lighting himself, wants to see a return to Jefferson Pierce in the school setting, and mentoring kids, citing the education aspect as one of the things he’s most proud of in the show. He would also love to meet up with the other heroes, now that they share one Earth, which that is something I’m sure many fans agree with.
Nafessa Williams, who plays Anissa a.k.a. Thunder a.k.a. Blackbird just wants Black Lightning to remain on-trend.

Speed and star-power: Those are the two clear goals for the DC Fandome virtual event on Aug. 22, which released its full schedule Friday.
Over 100 hours of content stretching across the film, TV and comic book properties from DC Entertainment will unfold over a 24-hour period on the Saturday event, including panels featuring the filmmakers and casts of “The Batman,” “Wonder Woman 1984,” “The Suicide Squad” and the Snyder Cut of “Justice League,” and the casts of TV series including “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “Batwoman,” “Black Lightning” and “The Flash.”
Most of those panels, however, will run just 15 to 30 minutes in length. The panel for the upcoming feature film version of “The Flash,” with filmmakers Andy and Barbara Muschietti, star Ezra Miller, and screenwriter Christina Hodson, will clock in at a speedy 10 minutes. (The briefness of that panel could also be due to unresolved questions surrounding a video of Miller appearing...

Tyler Perry is bringing back the multi-cam comedy series “House of Payne” at Bet.
Perry and the cabler have commissioned a new season of the series. The revival picks up five years after the conclusion of the original series. Original stars Lavan Davis, Cassi Davis Patton, Lance Gross, Demetria McKinney, China Anne McClain, Larramie “Doc” Shaw, Keshia Knight Pullam, and Allen Payne will all return.
“House of Payne” originally aired in syndication before moving to TBS for the rest of its run. It would go on to air over 250 episodes before wrapping up in 2012. The spinoff “The Paynes” aired two seasons on Own in 2018.
In addition, production is also underway on another Perry project at Bet, “Assisted Living.” In that series, Jeremy (Na’im Lynn), a patriarch of a young family with teenage children, decides to move to the backwoods of Georgia after losing his job to help his crazy grandfather.
