Tex Davis was born on June 14, 1914 in New Britain, Connecticut, USA. Tex was married to Betty Douchette. Tex died on August 29, 2007 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.
In 1954, Davis opened Norfolk station WCMS, where he acted as a disc jockey and also booked acts for the Grand Ole Opry in the Norfolk Arena.
Managed legendary pop star, Gene Vincent, putting his name on several of Vincent's compositions, including "Be-Bop-A-Lula", "Race With The Devil", "Who Slapped John" and "Important Words".
In 1967, he moved to Middle Tennessee to promote Monument singles to radio.
