[Spoiler Alert: Read on only if you have already watched Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead.]
It seemed like just another ordinary supply run for Daryl Dixon and company when they decided to step into the Big Spot supermarket. They cleared out the few stray zombies roaming the aisles and then went shopping. Little did they know they were about to experience Death From Above as the roof caved in, causing walkers — and one very big helicopter — to descend upon them. The result was pure madness with zombies crashing down and then rising up off the floor to attack the survivors, one of whom — Beth’s boyfriend Zach — would not make it out alive. Now, the director of the episode,...

I’m a big fan of Dave Parker. I have been for a few years now. When I first saw The Dead Hate The Living it connected with me the way you do with fun movies that seem to be made just for you. (Sure, it has its share of haters, but so do I. I was, after all, married for a while there.) I dug it and all its flaws, which to me made it all the more fun.
A few years later I noticed the name kept popping up during the credits on the special features I was watching. Was it the same ‘Dave Parker’? A quick IMDb check showed it to be true and it got me curious. How does someone go from helming his own movie to making Epk’s? I did a little research and had my eyes opened a...

Tuesday, September 29th, is a big day for director Dave Parker and producer Robert Burnett. Their gritty horror flick The Hills Run Red (review here) will finally be hitting DVD shelves after a three-year long journey to get to this point.
Along the way a lot of things changed, including most of the script and the studio behind the project. One thing didn’t - the fact that it seems like both Parker and Burnett were destined to make this film.
Burnett said, “Making The Hills Run Red was a weird self-reflexive thing for us as we’ve been documentarians together for a while now. We are Tyler and Lalo (two of the lead characters in The Hills Run Red). We’d be the first guys in the forest - I could totally see us doing exactly what they did.”
