After a month long hiatus, filled with Chair belly aching over the official connection of Dan and Blair (aka Dair), Gossip Girl opened up with a major jaw drop… from Dan Humphrey that is.
Blair showed up at the Humphrey loft in Brooklyn. When Dan opened the door, Ms. Waldorf “if you’re nasty” pulled back her trench coat to reveal a very sexy longline-lace torsolette. Dan’s jaw dropped, not just because Blair wowed him with her feminine curves, but also because his father and the Van Der Woodsen’s were right behind him to witness the spectacle.
Throughout the hiatus, the CW teased us with Dair promos. The new couple’s first time in bed was promoted as a major let down. But, if that were the full story, the teaser would have spoiled. A few weeks have passed by in Upper East Side time. Although Dan and...

Gossip Girl kicked off the home stretch of its fifth season tonight with an episode that picked up about a month after we left the gang in February and set a lot of different things in motion for the spring run.
Perhaps most significantly, Dair happened. Sexually. It took awhile, and a lot of booze, but it's on.
This actually wasn't a hugely Dair-centric episode, but the new lovebirds did have their drunken moments, and whichever side you're on in the Great Ship War 2012, these events likely didn't change your opinion.
Dan and Blair detractors will point to the fact that they used alcohol as a crutch to work through their initial intimacy jitters, and argue that they lack the natural chemistry that will sustain this long-term.
Supporters will note, just as accurately, that every relationship has growing pains, but they worked through those jitters through honest communication (vodka and whiskey-induced,...

Last night's Gossip Girl didn't have many shocking moments, but there were plenty of racy scenes, quality character moments and major story lines beginning to slowly build up.
While much of its buzz stems from its "Omg" factor, Gossip Girl has become, at its heart, a character-driven show, and "The Lady Vanished" proved why it's one of our favorites.
Who would have thought Chair would be the most adult couple on the show, including the actual adults? Season One, this is not ... and we're loving every second of them.
Chuck and Blair were the focal point of the episode, with a scandalous Jenny side plot and Dan and Vanessa doing their crazy thing somewhere else. But first ... Serenate.
The episode begins with Serena, Nate, whipped cream and strawberries, and no pants. Wow. Not one to be outdone, Blair moans loudly from upstairs to get their attention.
All in the first five minutes!

On tonight's episode of Gossip Girl, we'll hopefully find out whether or not the mysterious woman - Elizabeth Fisher - is indeed Chuck's (Ed Westwick) mom or just the one of the crazy women that Bart Bass played with like she claimed. We'll also learn if Jenny's (Taylor Momsen) descent into Damien Hell will go as scheduled, or will parents Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford), after discovering a bag full of pills, be able to stop things in time?
Elsewhere, Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) are struggling through the awkwardness of dating other people, all after the fall-out stemming from the similarly awkward revelation when Serena (Blake Lively) was in the hospital before Gossip Girl went on break. Finally, Serena and Nate (Chace Crawford) are doing the nasty everywhere. At least they're happy.
Promos and photos after the jump:...

Welcome to TV Fanatic's Gossip Girl Round Table!
The show finally returned last night, and our staff members have gathered to review the events of "The Hurt Locket" and discuss the developments to come.
This week's topics include memorable quotes, Serenate and Chair staying power, Jenny's drug kingpin status, and the motives of the mysterious Elizabeth ...

1. What was your favorite Gossip Girl quote last night?
DANdy: I could cite any one of a number classic Blair Waldorf quotes, but let's go with: "I love you, Chuck, and I'll always be your family." Self-centered and spoiled though she may be, Blair always says the right thing when needed.
Gossip Guy: I hate to be the cheeseball of the Round Table 'cause that's so not me, but I have to give it up to Blair's sweet words to Chuck: "Doesn't mean you've alone. I love you, Chuck, and I'll always be your family.

A mysterious woman who may be a long lost parent. International drug dealing escapades. Coat room sex. A blossoming love between friends and a marriage falling apart.
As the first Gossip Girl episode of 2010, "The Hurt Locket," had the feel of a season premiere. Not a complete reboot, but a much-needed return to what the show does best.
While far from the series' best, stories that begin now culminate in the best episodes later, and the first of 10 episodes to finish off Season 3 certainly provided a foundation.
Our episode recap has the basic plot details if you missed anything, with links to quotes and music from Monday as well. Now, for our official "The Hurt Locket" review ...
Rufus has been hiding from Lily because he’s afraid to hear the truth, which is that she had a rendezvous with her ex (to be played by the soon-to-arrive William Baldwin).

Spotted: A new episode of Gossip Girl… Me? An ecstatic idiot. You? In need of a thorough recap. So call off the Apb for the denizens of the Upper East Side and let's get down to it!
The Set Up
The people we have grown to love and hate are back and not a moment too soon… Serena gushes over the phone to Blair about her new coupledom with Nate. Blair warns to not rush things with Nate, but both girls get preoccupied with distractions on both ends of the line. Serena spots Damien Daalgard (Kevin Zegar), the guy who Jenny has been doing drug runs for,and we find out that the two of them went to the same boarding school when Serena was M.I.A. from Constance. On the other end of the phone line, Blair comes across an old locket with Bart Bass's picture in it.
