There’s No Such Thing as Zombies isn’t so much a comedy about the zombie apocalypse as it is the story of three people, Carlotta, her husband Paul and his old school friend Colin.
When Colin’s bragging gets on Paul’s last nerve, Carlotta gives him a “vitamin” which Colin recognizes as Troxidil, a powerful antidepressant that also doubles as male birth control by decreasing sperm count. This really doesn’t sit well with Paul, not only was he being lied to, he was being prevented from starting the family he wanted.
At this point, we cut away to The Hunt and Christina Show, whose hosts are also talking about Troxidil, specifically allegations that it causes the dead to rise. They’ll soon be joined by Victoria Winkelhauser a...

An anthology of tales paying the ultimate homage to the 70/80s Video Nasty Tromaesque-era, from a team of some of the best writers/directors in the lower budget UK horror scene. A carefully curated selection of shorts all with varying degrees of depravity broken up by a wrap around story of the Video Dungeon, all delightfully introduced by Brit Scream Queen royalty Dani Thompson (putting in a number of roles throughout). Anthology movies do seem to be making somewhat of a comeback as of late and have a bit of a tendency of “trying too hard...

A waitress intervenes and has something to say to the couple, which puts everyone in their place. The whole bit uses 154 movie titles to compose the dialogue between actors, and it’s an impressive feat to watch unravel. Writer-director-editor Ryan Hunter also gives us the movie posters to peek at while the conversation is happening, which is a nice visual reference that underlines just how creative the script really is. The language of love is hard to interpret...

It was revealed today that the awesome Julie Benz (pictured inside - woh momma!) will topline Saw V, the latest installment in the Lionsgate/Twisted Pictures franchise. Benz will portray an elegant woman in the pic, set for release Oct. 24. "Saw V" is directed by David Hackl, who has served as the production designer on the second, third and fourth versions, and written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. Production began March 17 in Toronto, Canada. Benz has been flying up the Hollywood ladder after starring as Darla in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She stars in Showtime's Dexter and has also starred in Rambo and the upcoming Punisher: The War Zone. I guess you can say she's the new "Lionsgate chick," alongside Jessica Alaba.
