It’s taken a few more years than expected but 10/31 Part III has finally arrived and it wastes no time getting down to business with several faux trailers that range from old-school Eurosleaze, “The Slaughter”, to “Night of the Halloweenies” a parody of Night of the Demons, zombies lay siege to a radio station in “Radio Tower Road” and a pair of slashers “Candy Killer” and my favourite, the 70s grindhouse styled “A Stranger’s Treat”.
As with the original and the first sequel, 10/31 Part III begins with Jennifer Nangle appearing in her Malvolia persona and giving us an introduction to what we’re about to see.

The Bloody Disgusting-powered Screambox is home to a variety of unique horror content, from originals and exclusives to cult classics and documentaries. With such a rapidly-growing library, there are many hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Here are five recommendations you can stream on Screambox right now.
The Barn
Before The Barn Part II streams exclusively on Screambox on May 26, catch up on the 2016 original. The Barn stands out among the glut of ’80s slasher throwbacks because it’s not satirical or a send-up; the unapologetic love letter approaches the well-trodden material with a refreshing earnestness. Capturing not only the style but also the spirit of his influences, writer-director Justin M. Seaman taps directly into horror fans’ nostalgia while introducing an imaginative mythology with ample heart in a charming package.

Another New Years-themed horror movie is on the way with New Fears Eve slashing our way soon, and it’s notably produced by horror veteran Jeffrey Reddick (Final Destination).
Reddick, who created the Final Destination franchise, will produce and star in the film.
This horror-comedy is currently being filmed entirely in Owensboro, Kentucky, and Bloody Disgusting has been provided with several first-look images to kick off the week.
Check out your first look at the film’s slasher, “The Doctor,” below…
Jeffrey Reddick tells Bd, “I went down to Kentucky to shoot my scenes and got to work with Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose, which was a blast. “The Doctor” kills over 35 people in all kinds of unique ways. There are definitely some gruesome kills you haven’t seen before.”

Writer/directors Chad Bruns and Zane Hershberger (10/31) let us know where Force to Fear is coming from right from the start with opening credits that look like they were lifted from an 80s VHS. And it is indeed an homage to the straight-to-video films of the era, but rather than a slavish copy of those films. Or worse yet, a generic B-movie with digital tape damage, they’ve added a couple of twists to the formula while still keeping everything feeling authentic.
Ryan sold some drugs to a woman who died of an overdose. That woman was Clint’s (Joseph Setticase; The 5th Dimension) wife Sarah which is why he’s now beating the shit out of Ryan in an abandoned school.

This documentary is by fans and for the fans, chronicling why John Carpenter’s classic has stood the test of time. Bringing together some of the brightest voices from independent horror we will explore what makes the film so special. From the music, the mask to Michael Myers, everyone has their own take on Halloween (1978), and why it is the blueprint for slasher horror and in our humble opinion, has never been bettered.
2018 is a big year for Halloween fans as it marks 40 years since the release of John Carpenters original holiday classic which introduced us to the bogeyman Michael Myers. In addition, we can also look forward to a new sequel which follows on from the original film and looks to rewrite the history of the series, bringing back Jamie Leigh Curtis as Laurie Strode, Nick Castle as The Shape and John Carpenter as the producer.

With In Memory Of, director Eric Stanze and his crew at Wicked Pixel Cinema have delivered another nightmarish piece of low-budget psychological weirdness that is highly recommended. Jackie Kelly stars as Amber, a twenty-ish woman recently diagnosed as the youngest victim of an unusual neurological ailment, one which causes hallucinations and other mental issues. It’s a disease that may have killed her mother and in flashbacks it’s revealed that she was raised by her Aunt and was in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend Darren (Adam Ahlbrandt), who cheated on her with a woman named Jennifer (Haley Madison) and forced her into prostitution. But Amber is an unreliable narrator, which becomes more apparent as the story unfolds and her past is revisited. She travels to a grungy bunker to take part in a group study for a potential treatment for her disease. After she wakes up and finds...

Bonejangles is new horror comedy (review here) from director Brett Dejager, which was selected to play at the Horror-on-Sea Film Festival on Saturday 27th January. I got chance to ask Brett a few questions about his influences, taking on the role of creating a new immortal killer in Bonejangles and working with horror legends Elissa Dowling and Reggie Bannister.
What can we expect from the film Bonejangles?
If there is anything from Bonejangles that horror fans can expect it’s that you will leave the theatre wondering when Bonejangles II will be available! Ha ha, but in all seriousness, Bonejangles is about having fun and making the experience of watching movies fun again. I believe it has a nice balance of slasher and comedy. We took the production of Bonejangles very serious but had a lot of fun with the characters and storyline. So far Bonejangles has been well received...

A new trailer has arrived for Harbinger Down ahead of the film's release tomorrow. Also in this round-up: a new teaser trailer for Cherry Tree, The Barn Indiegogo campaign, and DVD release details for horror-thriller Run, Hide, Die.
Harbinger Down: "A group of grad students have booked passage on the fishing trawler Harbinger to study the effects of global warming on a pod of Orcas in the Bering Sea. When the ship’s crew dredges up a recently thawed piece of old Soviet space wreckage, things get downright deadly. It seems that the Russians experimented with tardigrades, tiny resilient animals able to withstand the extremes of space radiation. The creatures survived, but not without a mutation.
