Born and raised in Groton, Massachusetts, Jack first got involved in
dramatics when asked to sing "McNamara's Band" in an Irish brogue for
his second grade music class's St. Patrick's day activities. Later he
went on to do pratfalls in Christmas plays, dress as a Viking, and in
drag, for book reports, and set fire to his backyard sandbox for a
history report - all before the age of 13. In high school, Jack got
involved in the world of professional magic and performed in and around
the Boston area, eventually establishing a magazine for and by young
magicians called "FizBin." Eventually he even worked with the "Le Grand
David, Spectacular Magic Company" - the world's longest continually
performing magic show. After taking time off from education to be a
newspaper journalist, and travel, he eventually went to Emerson College
where received a BFA in Writing Literature and Publishing.
