Travis Burdick began working in film and television
with an internship at the age of 16 with a local Warner Brothers affiliate in
Jacksonville, Florida. Within one year Travis
began to Produce, Direct, Edit, and Shoot a local cable television
program for the Clay County Sheriff's Office. He was then offered a
job with The Florida's News Channel where he worked as a Feed
Coordinator and then as a Photojournalist. He shifted to working as a Photojournalist for the
local CBS affiliate WJXT (now independent) in Jacksonville. He has
covered many stories ranging from the 2000 elections, 2004 elections, Super Bowl 39, 9/11, wildfires, hurricanes, and
other daily breaking news. He has also personally interviewed notable
figures such as Jessie Jackson, Janet Reno, Jeb Bush, John Stewart (The
Daily Show), Mark Brunell, Ross Perot, and many others.
Travis began Film work as a Camera P.A. on the set of the John McTiernan film "Basic" starring John Travolta and Samuel Jackson. Following the production of "Basic" Travis continued to work on music videos, commercials, and major films like American Gangster. He has also freelanced as a News Desk Assignment Manager, a theater stage hand, and setup crew for the G-8 World Summit.
