Former Jax Media president Brooke Posch has opened her own shingle, Good&Done, aiming to focus on comedy projects from new and undiscovered voices. As part of the launch, Posch has hired former Broadway Video and Universal TV exec Hannah Kitziger to serve as head of development.
“Throughout my career I’ve experienced the incredible rewards of having developed and produced some of the most extraordinary voices in TV and film,” Posch said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to take this next step to launch Good&Done and bring on executive Hannah Kitziger. Unique perspectives are the drivers in breakthrough programming, and we’re excited to shake up the comedy landscape.”
Posch exited Jax Media last year after that company was sold to Imagine Entertainment. She first joined Jax Media in 2019 as president of original programming, launching several series and also setting up an unscripted division, a movie division and Jax UK.

Updated to clarify both series have moved to the CW app and cwtv.com: Canadian comedy Run The Burbs and British sitcom Everyone Else Burns have both been pulled from The CW schedule, the network has confirmed. Both are still available on The CW app and cwtv.com
They’ll be replaced for now on linear with reruns of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Great American Joke Off.
The news of Everyone Else Burns comes just a few weeks after The CW ordered a second season of the critically acclaimed apocalyptic family comedy following Channel 4’s renewal of the UK series in August.
They are the most recent acquisitions to be pulled from the network, following Australian series Bump and Barons, which were pulled halfway through Seasons 2 and 1, respectively. Down to Earth With Zac Efron and Fantastic Friends, starring James and Oliver Phelps, were canceled after two episodes each.

Showtime has scrapped a number of greenlit originals including the series remake of Gattaca from Homeland co-creators Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa and Seasoned, a comedy starring real-life husband and wife Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody.
It is also not moving forward with two development projects – Sweetness and Split. Sweetness comes from Nick Stoller and Promising Young Woman Oscar winner Emerald Fennell and is a female-driven anthology project. It comes out of Stoller’s overall deal with Sony Pictures TV, which will shop elsewhere. Not much is known about Split.
The move comes after Showtime merged with Paramount+ on the streaming side and follows the cancelation of other series ahead of their debut including Three Women, which moved to Starz, and Ripley, which moved to Netflix.

A series of changes have taken place at Showtime. Variety has confirmed the network has canceled “Ziwe” after just two seasons and has picked up Mandy Patinkin’s “Seasoned” to series, delivering a six-episode order.
Hosted and executive produced by comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, the talk show focused on presenting trending hot topics concerning race, politics and other cultural issues as well as musical numbers, interviews, guest stars and comedic sketches. Guests on Season 2 included Drew Barrymore, Rowan Blanchard, Blake Griffin, Emily Ratajkowski and Mia Khalifa, among others. The series first debuted in 2021.
With the loss, that leaves Showtime without a current late night talk show following the cancellation of “Desus & Mero” (which Ziwe also served as a writer on before moving to her own show). The changes come as part of Showtime’s reevaluation of the programming slate after MTV Entertainment Group president and CEO Chris McCarthy stepped in...

Exclusive: Creatives from Jax Media and Universal International Studios (Uis) have talked up “subverting traditional narratives” by bringing “heart and warmth” to upcoming Channel 4 religious comedy Everyone Else Burns.
The Simon Bird-starrer is the first to hail from Jax’s UK office, headed up by former Baby Cow exec Molly Seymour, and follows a family in a religious sect who believe the world is going to end. Bird stars as misguided patriarch David, with Kate O’Flynn, Lolly Adefope, Kadiff Kirwan and Morgana Robinson opposite the Inbetweeners alum.
Speaking to Deadline, Jax President Brooke Posch and Seymour said creators Dillon Mapletoft and Oliver Taylor never intended to poke fun at the subject matter. Each character goes on their own personal journey and there are nuances to the way in which they relate to their hyper-religious upbringing. A few months ago, HBO ordered a fourth season of A Black Lady Sketch Show, which was created by Robin Thede. Now Deadline reports that Thede is working on another project while preparing for the next season of A Black Lady Sketch Show: she has written a zombie horror comedy called Killing It, and Bridget Stokes will be directing the film for Amazon Studios.
That makes Killing It a continuation of the working relationship that Thede and Stokes established on the third season of A Black Lady Sketch Show, where Stokes directed all six episodes of the season and served as a co-executive producer of the show. And as a result of directing those episodes, she won the Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series, becoming the first Black woman to do so.

Emily in Paris exec Lilly Burns has predicted more U.S. and UK production companies will co-produce together as she unearths how Jax Media and UK indie Dancing Ledge Productions came together to bring Disney+’s Wedding Season to screen.
The genre-bending action comedy is the first UK Disney+ original to launch and rolls out on adult-skewing vertical Star and Hulu in the U.S. from September 8.
Described by Burns as “Four Weddings and a Funeral meets Die Hard” and starring Canadian-American Alita: Battle Angel star Rosa Salazar and Irishman Gavin Drea (Vikings: Valhalla), Wedding Season is a rare co-production between a U.S. producer, Jax, and Chris Carey’s Fremantle-backed UK indie Dancing Ledge, which he runs with Laurence Bowen.

Disney+ is giving fans a first look at upcoming U.K. original series “Wedding Season” in a new trailer.
Not to be confused with the recent Netflix film, Disney+’s “Wedding Season” is a “genre busting” eight-part dark comedy that sees a bride’s new family poisoned on the night of her wedding.
The Maze Runner franchise’s Rosa Salazar plays Katie, who meets Stefan (Gavin Drea of “Vikings: Valhalla”) at a wedding. The duo quickly strike up an affair – despite the fact Katie is due to get married to someone else in two months. On the night of her wedding, Katie’s new husband is mysteriously found dead – along with his entire family – and Stefan quickly becomes the main suspect.
Stefan, meanwhile, is wondering whether Katie may be capable of more than just infidelity.

Real-life married couple Mandy Patinkin (Homeland) and Kathryn Grody (The Lemon Sisters) will star in the Seasoned pilot for Showtime. The comedy is inspired by their actual relationship, which is adorably documented on Patinkin’s TikTok with the help of their son, Gideon Grody-Patinkin, who is also one of the new show’s creators. Seasoned will be a half-hour comedy following “the delightfully tumultuous relationship and life of a successful, gregarious, deeply committed, slightly insane married couple played by Patinkin and Grody — roles they’ve been rehearsing for the last 43 years,” the logline describes, per Deadline. “The source of their unending magic is the same as their unending woe: that they’ve stayed together all this time.” The series is created by Ewen Wright and Grody-Patinkin. “Fire Island” was written by Joel Kim Booster who also stars in the film as Noah.
