The mysterious disappearance of Batman (voice of Jason O’Mara), coupled with the emergence of powerful and malevolent new villains in Gotham City, force Nightwing (Maher) and Robin (Stuart Allan) to take crime-fighting into their own hands – while simultaneously searching for their missing leader. They’re not alone for long. New super heroes Batwoman (Strahovski) and Batwing (Gaius Charles) – each armed with her/his own sensibilities, physical abilities and crime-fighting tools – arrive in Gotham to assist in the cause. As this new “family” strives to find its own dynamic, chilling clues lead the group to suspect the Dark Knight may have gone over to the dark side. It’s up to the entire Bat team to uncover the truth before Gotham City falls prey to its greatest threat yet.

Warner Bros. Animation has released the first trailer for Son of Batman, DC’s next animated film based on Grant Morrison’s classic “Batman & Son” story arc first published in 2006. The upcoming feature will mark the first animated appearance of Damian Wayne outside of his minor role in an episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold (“The Knights of Tomorrow!”) and looks as though it will be taking some liberties with the source material by adding Deathstroke into the mix – a villain who did not appear in the original story.
Son of Batman will feature the voice acting talents of Jason O’Mara (Batman/Bruce Wayne), Stuart Allan (Damian), Morena Baccarin (Talia Al Ghul), Giancarlo Esposito (Ra’s Al Ghul), David McCallum (Alfred Pennyworth), Xander Berkeley ( Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat), and Thomas Gibson (Deathstroke).
Son of Batman comes out late this spring on DVD, Blu-ray and for digital download.

About a month ago, THR reported that John Slattery ("Mad Men") and Sam Elliott (The Hulk) were being considered to play Daily Bugle Editor-in-Chief J Jonah Jameson in "Untitled Teen/Action Film," which is obviously the new "Spider-Man" movie. Cbm now found a video of Stuart Allan also auditioning for "Untitled Teen/Action Film." Allan looks to be around 9-year-old and is attempting to get cast in the role of Billy. While the description doesn't mention anything else, Billy is actually the young son of Curt Connors, who eventually becomes The Lizard. And the scene that Allan reads clearly shows that "Spider-Man" will show Connor's transformation into the villain. If you weren't sure before, this pretty much confirms that that's the character Rhys Ifans will play. The site also found Chris Zylka (My Super Psycho Sweet 16) confirming that he was cast in "Spider-Man" on his Twitter account. It is...

The teasing is over! This here is the real deal. The moment we wait all year for: The lineup for the powerful, the mighty Boston Underground Film Festival, which is set to run March 25 to April 1. Now in its 12th year, Buff shows no sign of slowing down or taking it easy. In fact, this might be their most demented and transgressive edition yet.
There are homages to Giallo horror, tributes to the grand grindhouse tradition of sleaze and exploitation, sex and violence galore — both separately and together — plus, a resurrected ’80s slasher classic that all combine into an epic celebration of everything that is vicious and twisted in this world. But, in a fun way, ya know.
Alas, I haven’t seen any of the feature films that are playing this year, so I can’t offer any special recommendations of those. Although, there are many (most) that I...
