Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, J Lee is an American
actor/writer/producer/musician/director.
He began classical piano lessons at the age of 3 and eventually went on
to receive a music scholarship at Indiana University's renowned Jacob's
School Of Music. After graduating in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Piano Performance and Theater and Drama, J Lee took the last $200 he
had and headed west for Los Angeles to begin his professional
entertainment career.
Landed his first industry job as the receptionist for Family Guy. Eventually became a writer for The Cleveland Show.
He is also an accomplished pianist.
Performed at Carnegie Hall at the age of 12.
He is a first place winner in the DeBose National Piano Competition, a
three-time winner of the Beethoven Young Artist Festival, and a
two-time bronze medal winner of the American Music Scholarship
Association World Piano Competition.
Moved out to Los Angeles with only $200 and slept in his car until he
saved enough money to move into an apartment.
