Back when Bravo announced that it was remaking/rebooting "Heathers" for a TV series in September, the reactions were less-than-stellar. But critics and haters can rest easy now: the network has officially decided to not move forward with the project, BuzzFeed reports.
According to a source close to the show, the rebooted series -- which would have featured Veronica (played in the 1989 movie by Winona Ryder) moving back to Sherwood with a teenage daughter who would have to face the Ashleys, daughters of the Heathers who had survived the movie -- is a no-go again, though Bravo wouldn't comment.
The pilot had originally been developed in 2009 by Sony Pictures Television for Fox, with Jenny Bicks and Mike Rizzo attached as showrunners.
How do you feel about the death of the "Heathers" reboot? Are you happy Bravo decided to kill it, or are you disappointed you won't be able to see...

It didn't take long for the club scene to put their spin on Britney Spears' single "Hold It Against Me." In the weeks since the pop star released the hard-pounding dance cut, DJs and producers have begun work on making sure it bangs the club even harder.
A few days ago, house legend Paul Oakenfold revealed on Twitter that he was putting together a "Hiam" remix, tweeting, "I'm in the studio working on Britney Spears remix its going well." Oakenfold previously remixed Spears' "Gimme More."
While fans have yet to hear how Oakenfold plays with "Hold It Against Me," electropop act Robots With Rayguns already have released their own, space-aged rendition on the tune. Their version combines '80s-inspired synths, robot noises and sparse beats, while keeping Spears'...

After an impressive year boasting strong singles "Conscindo" (with Mark Knight), "Undertaker" and "Animal Rights" (with deadmau5), Austin, Texas, electro-house maestro Wolfgang Gartner was particularly ecstatic when we caught up with him this week.
Gartner, born Joey Youngman, is nominated for a 2011 Grammy in the Best Remixed Recording (Non Classical) category for his mix of house-music producer Andy Caldwell's "Funk Nasty" (featuring vocals by Gram'ma Funk). In February, he will face off against Morgan Page's remix of Nadia Ali's "Fantasy," David Guetta's mix of Madonna's "Revolver," Mike Rizzo's mix of Brazilian legend Sergio Mendes' "Orpheus" and the Dirty South and Axwell mix of Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition."

Has it been a decade of films and freaks already? Well, it has! The 10th annual Coney Island Film Festival is set to run once again on Sept. 24-26 at the world famous Sideshows by the Seashore — the last operating circus-style sideshow/freak show in the U.S.A.
The festival starts with real bang this year with the Brooklyn premiere of Gary Beeber‘s latest documentary Dirty Martini and the New Burlesque, which chronicles the rise of the hot new burlesque trend in NYC and its most popular star, Dirty Martini. The film will also be preceded by two short films: The recently uncovered Museum of Wax by playwright Charles Ludlam and Jaye Cherian’s documentary Shape of the Shapeless.
This year the festival is also celebrating by hosting director Darren Aronofsky as their 2010 honoree. On Sept. 26, Aronofsky — who was born in South Brooklyn — will be present at a...
