David Hugh-Jones was born on February 3rd, 1963 at Queen Charlottes Maternity Hospital in Hammersmith, London, England.
His Grandfather was a Professor of Mathematics at Aberystwyth University in North Wales.
He was inspired to go into the world of visual effects in 1982 after spending an afternoon visiting the film sets and workshops of 'Star Wars: Return of the Jedi' at Elstree Film Studios in London, where he got the opportunity to walk and sit inside the Millennium Falcon, Visit the Ewok Village, workshops and other sound stages as well as watch preparation and rehearsal of the 'Jabba the Hutt' barge scene.
Best known for development of CGI 3D animated series and feature properties, motion-capture and visual effects.
David moved to the United States of America in 2001 to develop Gerry Anderson's 60's television series 'Stingray' into a CGI feature for Carlton International Media Ltd.
David served as an MTD/Senior Aircraftsman in the British Royal Air Force from 1979-1981. One of his tasks was to Chauffeur the air crew who flew Royal Family Members and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. There were many occasions where he had to be at attention as the arriving King Charles III (Then Prince Charles), Lady Diana Spencer and other Royal Family Members, Prime Minister Thatcher, Cabinet Members and American Whitehouse Diplomats where transported in their separate respective waiting limos.
