Javier Aparisi is a Spanish-Canadian filmmaker who currently resides in North Vancouver, Canada. Graduating from ESCAC, the renowned Spanish film school, in 2004 marked the beginning of Javier's cinematic journey. Since then, he has dedicated himself to the art of filmmaking and editing, collaborating with various production companies.
In 2011, Javier embarked on a new chapter by relocating to Canada to further cultivate his career in filmmaking.
His talent garnered recognition with the award-winning graduation short film, "NATI," which unfolds against the backdrop of post-Spanish Civil War turmoil. The film follows a young republican ensnared by fascists and stands as a testament to Javier's storytelling prowess.
In the poignant drama, "THE MISSING PICTURE," shot in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island, Javier delves into the disintegrating world of a grandmother grappling with Alzheimer's. This project showcases his ability to capture the intricacies of human emotion and vulnerability.
