As reports swirl that the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York will be adding a “wealthy Hamptons housewife,” former cast member Jennifer Gilbert, says it’s not a done deal yet, adding she would like to see a more diverse cast.
Jennifer, president of the New York City event planning firm Save The Date, told HollywoodLife.com, “Sure, I would love to see a lesbian, or some diversity. It would be nice to do something a little diverse. All I know is The Real Housewives of New Jersey got [extremely high] ratings, so I think in order to get those type of ratings, they should up the ante.” Adds Jennifer, who remains friendly with the cast, “I do know that they haven’t 100 percent firmed up [the new cast member]. It’s not entirely in stone yet. I know they were looking at a zillion people.”
But the identity of the new rabblerouser will soon be known.

Fans of Bravo's 'Real Housewives of New York City' can stop holding their breath -- the show will be back for a season 4, but without one familiar face. Bethenny Frankel has not been asked back to the show.
But, don't feel bad for the new mom. Frankel is busy filming the second season of her reality series 'Bethenny Getting Married?' instead of joining the rest of the women on 'Real Housewives of New York City.'
According to the New York Daily News, everybody else from last season -- Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, LuAnn de Lesseps and newbie Sonja Morgan -- has been asked back for another helping of socialite drama. No word on Jennifer Gilbert, who was followed by cameras for months but rarely popped up on season 3.

Well, it seems like "Real Housewives of New York City's" LuAnn de Lesseps may finally be able to afford those digs in Manhattan. The housewife has been signed to a record deal! In related news, an angel just lost its wings.
E! Online reports that "Count-less" de Lesseps signed with Ultra Records, an independent dance music label.
On Thursday's (May 13) episode, LuAnn welcomed Bravo viewers into the studio with her as she recorded her first single, "Money Can't Buy You Class."
"In life, we don't always hit the 'high note' but I wanted to go out and do my best because I have always loved to sing," the former countess said in defense of her assault on viewers' ears.
Her producer likened her voice to Madonna and Black Eyed Peas' belter, Fergie. Obviously, he didn't hear what we did, but he's the professional!

The Dish Rag was one of the first to report that "Real Housewives of New York City's" Jill Zarin and her associates had allegedly used fake names on Amazon.com to write positive reviews of her own book, "Secrets of a Jewish Mother," bash those who had written negative reviews and pan books written by her enemies on the show.
Now, fellow New York City housewife, Alex McCord is weighing in on the controversy.
"I think that's kind of against the rules," McCord told The Boston Herald. "I think it's unethical. I think you don't review your own book and you also don't comment on other people's reviews."
In fact, her and husband Simon van Kempen's parenting memoir, "Little Kids, Big City," has apparently fallen victim to negative reviews, which fit the same pattern. McCord doesn't seem surprised, though, that her costar might have resorted to such methods.

Party planner Jennifer Gilbert is one of the new girls on the block over at The Real Housewives of New York City. While we haven't seen much of her yet, lemme tell ya, we're lovin' her. Why? Because Ms. J.G. tells it like it is—and then some... "While I was shooting it, you could see I was like, 'What the f--k is wrong with these people?'" says Gilbert, an event planner who joined the show when Jill Zarin hired her for an ice-skating party. "I've never seen women who have so many issues…Compared to them, I look like a saint." She got a true taste of said issues when, as seen on last night's episode, Zarin and Alex McCord got into a shouting match...

Anyone who saw the previews for last night's episode of The Real Housewives of New York knew that a showdown of epic proportions was going to take place between Alex and Jill -- the clip of Alex angrily saying "You are a mean girl! You are in high school!" has been making the rounds for weeks now, actually. Of course, anyone who watches the show also knew that several smaller eruptions would occur before we got to the main even. That's just how these women roll. The episode started off at Sonja's Cocktails and Couture party. Everyone (minus Bethenney and Simon) showed up,...

Zap2it was one of the first to report that a scandal was brewing around "Real Housewives of New York City" star Jill Zarin on Amazon.com. Now, new details shed light on Zarin's role in Amazon-gate.
Members had launched a grassroots investigation after one "Susan Saunders" replied angrily to a negative review of Zarin's book, "Secrets of a Jewish Mother."
Written to Alana Chandler, the No. 1 ranked reviewer on Amazon, the comment called the reviewer anti-Semitic and "jealous of Jill." "Saunders" even suggested that Chandler's pet should be taken from her. Chandler has since claimed that "Saunders" also followed up the comment with a "threatening email."
Amazon members then discovered that "Susan Saunders'" account was registered to Jill Shapiro, which is Zarin's name before marrying Bobby, from New York City. Her daughter's name is Allyson and her birthday is November 30. All of these details correspond with public information on Zarin.

Did you blink and miss the newest New York housewife? You're not alone!
Yes, "Real Housewives of New York" fans, the newest housewife Jennifer Gilbert made her debut last night, Thursday, April 29. She was the event planner that Jill hired for her holiday party.
Poor thing. When Sonja Morgan debuted in the last episode, the Red Sea parted, angels sang and Bravo inserted a segment introducing her. Jennifer? She didn't even get one of those title cards where she gets to pose while her family stands in the far background.
So, who's Jennifer Gilbert? She recently spoke to IVillage.com and our pals at LATimes.com. Here's what we gleaned:
She has been married for seven years and she has three kids: A five-year-old daughter name Blaise and two-year-old twin sons Saxton and Grey.
She owns Save the Date, an event planning company, and she's co-owner of Portamee, a baby-carrier producer.

We're not saying there was any drama behind the no-shows, but there was a gaggle of gals noticeably absent from Kelly Killoren Bensimon's birthday dinner this week. None of the original Real Housewives of New York stars, Bethenny Frankel, Countess Luann Lesseps, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer or Alex McCord, were among the 32 guests who helped the leggy supermodel mom celebrate at restaurant Beba. However… One of the new Housewives, Jennifer Gilbert, was there. An eyewitness says that Bensimon and Gilbert appeared to be good friends, chatting up a storm and laughing together. How soon do you think it will be before these two have a falling out? Meanwhile, in other celebrity...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of NYC will see a new personality appear tonight in event planner Jennifer Gilbert, who crosses paths with the ladies when the group's mother hen, Jill Zarin, commissions her to help her with an upcoming holiday party. However, unlike Sonja Morgan, who joined the cast two weeks ago, Gilbert doesn't have full golden apple-holding privileges...yet. At a little over seven months pregnant, "Real Housewives of New York City's" Bethenny Frankel married her fiance Jason Hoppy last Sunday, March 28 at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City.
"I'm a real housewife!" Bethenny Frankel tweeted the next morning.
Ramona Singer and Alex McCord were there to help her celebrate the nuptials. "Today Show" co-host Hoda Kotb also attended the ceremony and reception.
Reportedly, the other NYC housewives Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, LuAnn de Lesseps, Jennifer Gilbert and Sonja Morgan were not invited.
While a Bravo camera crew shot it for her upcoming show, "Bethenny Getting Married," Ok Weekly was there exclusively to take photos of the event.
Here are our favorite pictures from Bethenny's big (sorry for the pun, Bethenny!) day:
It was an intimate event with about 70 guests.
Frankel and Hoppy met in November of 2008 at Tenjune Nightclub in NYC.
The couple were engaged 11 months after their first date.

The cast of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" has been under scrutiny for months. Rumors that NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak had been fired, Lisa Wu Hartwell had been replaced and new housewives had been added have definitely kept the rumor mills spinning.
According to Access Atlanta, April Love, a PR rep for Wu Hartwell confirmed that Bravo has added two new housewives to the Atlanta cast: Attorney Phaedra Parks and model Cynthia Bailey.
According to the site, Bravo started shooting on the Atlanta franchise's third season earlier this month. The site had no news on whether Bravo would be letting any of the five other housewives go or if they'll be accommodating all seven housewives in Season 3.
It wouldn't be strange for Bravo to do so. Currently, "The Real Housewives of New York" has seven confirmed housewives, as well. Socialite Sonja Morgan and wedding planner Jennifer Gilbert joined this season,...

The temperature around "Real Housewives of New York City's" Bethenny Frankel's wedding is getting hot. And the pregnant bride has been tight-lipped about the event until now.
Bethenny recently spilled the beans herself on her wedding date and it's only six days away!

Now, Hollywoodlife.com sources say that the wedding ceremony will take place this Sunday, March 28 at the Four Seasons Hotel restaurant in New York City.
Castmate Ramona Singer told the site that she isn't the only one from the "Real Housewives" attending (as new castmember Jennifer Gilbert had claimed last week).

Yesterday (March 18), Bethenny Frankel told Zap2it exclusively that there would be some representation from "The Real Housewives of New York City" cast at her wedding.
Today, HollywoodLife.com reports that Jennifer Gilbert, who joined the cast this season, says that Bethenny snubbed her on a wedding invite and Ramona Singer is probably the only one going to the event.
"I know Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps are not going," Gilbert says. "I know Ramona is going, but I don't know if anyone else is going."
Gilbert, who we've yet to see on the Bravo show, also spilled what she knew about the fast-approaching ceremony.
"I don't know a lot actually," says Gilbert. "But, I think it's at the Four Seasons Hotel. The only space I know is the ballroom downstairs. It's relatively small, so it must be a pretty small wedding."

Is it possible that Ramona Singer is the only housewife attending Bethenny’s wedding?
We got the scoop first! Ramona Singer of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City might be the only one out of the Housewife group that’s going to Bethenny Frankel’s wedding! “I know Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps are not going,” new Housewife Jennifer Gilbert told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Red Carpet Launch of Pampers With Dry Max Event on March 18 in New York. “I know Ramona is going, but I don’t know if anyone else is going.”
For the Housewives being such an exclusive group, Bethenny sure has made it even more limited. She didn’t invite one of her co-stars, Jen. “I’m not going. I wasn’t invited. I wouldn’t have expected to be invited. Bethenny and I, she seems nice, but we aren’t really friends,...

We've already seen what Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Bethenny Frankel, Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin can to bring to the table but sooner or later two new faces will be entering the scene, making The Real Housewives of New York City a little bit crowded but certainly more interesting. Sonja Morgan and Jennifer Gilbert are the ones coming on board this season, and since not much have been revealed about them, it makes me wonder if these two housewives resonate the same kind of social pedigree we often see in the women who join this show. Let's take a closer look, shall we?...

Bravo threw a party for "The Real Housewives of New York City" Season 3 premiere last night (Thu. March 4). While it seemed the champagne was flowing and the gals were having a great time, a couple housewives were noticeably absent and we're not just talking "tardy to the party."
Sonja Morgan and Jennifer Gilbert, the two new housewives announced last October, were there and having a blast. After the announcement, rumors spread that two other housewives were leaving the show. Bethenny Frankel, for one, denied she was leaving back then. And there was chatter last month that Alex McCord was in danger of getting the boot.

Jill Zarin, the redheaded society lady about town on "The Real Housewives of New York City," certainly never lacks for anything to say.
The third season of Bravo's reality series set in the Big Apple premieres on Thursday, March 4 at 11 p.m. Et/Pt, and it appears that there will be a bizarro realignment of friendships. Bye-bye Team Bethenny, and hello Team Kelly.
The articulate and charming Jill opened up to Zap2it and revealed her thoughts about her fellow housewives -- the good and the bad.
Check out the wisdom of Jill Zarin:
Can you comment on your tense estrangement from former Bff Bethenny Frankel?
"It wasn't just one thing, as you will see as the story unravels. It really was an accumulation that went on over a long period of time. But there was a final straw where I finally said, 'Ok, I'm done, I can't take it anymore.

They’re always up to something and last night the cast of “The Real Houswives of New York” were in the house for a Season Three screening party.
Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, and Jennifer Gilbert all showed up at Tenjune in New York City for the swanky shindig.
In related news, it seems Khloe Kardashian may have unwittingly caused some friction between Kelly Bensimon and Ramona Singer during the Three Olive Vodka Rangtang Launch earlier this week.
Both ladies were jealous to get some chat time with the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” babe and it got a little ugly. "Suddenly there was a ruckus. Ramona barged her way through the VIP area and practically jumped over a table to get to Khloe,” who was talking with Bensimon at the time.

Simon van Kempen and Alex McCord may be seen in the upcoming season of "The Real Housewives of New York City" but that may be as far as they go. The married couple reportedly is not returning for a fourth season because the executives feel they do not appeal as much as the other housewives. In other words, they are not asked back.
"There are a ton of reasons they aren't being asked back," N.Y. Daily News quoted an insider as saying. "Viewers don't have a positive reaction to them, so they're easily replaceable at this point. Also, they don't really fit in with the other wives. All of the other women's story lines have interwoven, yet Alex and Simon have kept theirs separate. It isn't nearly as interesting as the other Housewives'."
Another reason allegedly is a "hissy fit" thrown by Simon to Bravo when knowing that he...

They're heeere! As expected, Bravo is adding new castmembers to The Real Housewives of New York City, and today the network announced that socialite single mom Sonja Morgan and entrepreneur Jennifer Gilbert will recur throughout season three. Why the new blood? Well, for one thing, NYC Housewives superstar Bethenny Frankel is getting her own spinoff, and she's said repeatedly that she doesn't want to do both shows. The new additions ensure that Bravo has a deep bench of talent on the show even after Ms. Frankel exits. Speaking of Ms. Frankel, what does she think of this new blood? Are the new kids friend or foe? And how's she getting along with the existing castmembers during the filming of season...

Let's face it: Some of the best Real Housewives moments (from any franchise) happened when someone new encroached on the nouveau-riche territory of the existing cast. Cases in point: Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson's disdain (and later sabotage by tequila) of new gal Gretchen Rossi (and to a lesser extent, Lynne Curtin) on Orange County, NeNe Leakes and Kandi Burruss's back-and-forth "ghetto" insults on Atlanta and the fireworks between Bethenny Frankel and newbie Kelly Bensimon on New York's season 2. So, fans of the drama can expect plenty of priceless episodes as two new faces join Frankel, Bensimon, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, Alex McCord, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin on The Real Housewives of New York City's third season. Sonja Morgan (left), a former model and friend to European royalty and fashion designers alike, is a single mother of a 9-year-old daughter. According to a press release from Bravo,...
