Sir Sean Connery is popularly known for being the first actor to portray the famous fictional British secret agent James Bond on-screen. He starred in a total of seven James Bond movies from 1962 to 1983, with Never Say Never Again being his last appearance as the 007 agent.
The Scottish actor was regarded as one of the finest actors in the industry and for his service to drama he was made a Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters in France and a Knight by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000. Not only was Sean Connery a brilliant actor, but he was also one of the brave ones who faced a real-life mobster with no hesitance on his face.

Tonight Show legend Jay Leno has filed for a conservatorship for his wife, Mavis, who has been diagnosed with dementia. According to the filing, which was obtained by Yahoo Entertainment, Leno is seeking the conservatorship for Mavis’ estate and finances, not her person. The purpose of the arrangement is to “establish a living trust for the 77-year-old Mavis that ensures she has managed assets sufficient to provide her with future care” should Leno die before her. The filing was made in Los Angeles Superior Court on January 26, with the paperwork initiated on November 1, 2023, and signed by Leno on November 17. A hearing is scheduled for April 9, though Mavis herself is not required to attend due to “medical inability” and “major impairment,” including orientation issues and problems with memory and concentration. In recent years, there has been controversy around conservatorships, which is a legal status in which a court appoints a person...

Comedian and former Tonight Show host Jay Leno filed for conservatorship over wife Mavis Leno‘s estate.
The petition was filed on Friday at the Los Angeles Superior Court. The petition states that Leno, 73, wishes to have an estate plan established on behalf of his wife, who suffers from dementia. It also mentions that Mavis, 77, in her current state, is incapable of doing the planning herself.
Leno stated Mavis has no objections to the conservatorship. He has also asked the judge that Mavis does not go to the hearing set for April 9 in concern for her mental and physical health.
“Unfortunately, Mavis has been progressively losing capacity and orientation to space and time for several years,” the filing states.
Leno also wants to ensure that his wife will be taken care of in the case that he dies before her. The conservatorship will also provide for Mavis’ brother. Because the couple have no children,...

“The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon apologized to his staffers this week after a damning Rolling Stone report alleged a work environment marred by his toxic behavior on set — and it’s not the first time the former “Saturday Night Live” star has come under fire for his actions. He’s previously been criticized for not paying his writers during the currently WGA strike, for instance, and for that infamously playful 2016 interview with former President Donald Trump.
Other late night hosts have also crossed the line on a number of occasions, with Jimmy Kimmel, Jay Leno and David Letterman also issuing statements, or on-air mea culpas, asking viewers to forgive their missteps and misdeeds.
Here are some of the most scandalous moments in late night TV.

In the opening scene of Antoine Fuqua’s The Equalizer 3, Denzel Washington shoots a bad guy in the ass. This is not a metaphor. Two-time Oscar-winner, and nine-time-nominated, Denzel Washington picks up a shotgun and blows a second hole into the il culo of a Sicilian gangster; which gives new meaning to making someone’s ass grass.
It is also entirely on this wavelength that The Equalizer 3 coasts, flatly, gorily, but not altogether unpleasantly. For an actor of Washington’s caliber, it’s slumming, but his charm suggests he doesn’t much mind. Like his character, the performer seems to be on a working vacation where the midday cappuccinos and late night glasses of vino at a picturesque Italian cafe (at which Washington always has the best and same exact seat) make up for all the drudgery he must trudge through.

With the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes continuing to silence their late night shows, the five hosts — Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, John Oliver and Seth Meyers — will test out another medium.
The quintet announced Tuesday that it would release a limited Spotify podcast, aptly titled Strike Force Five. The arrangement is said to call for at least 12 episodes, which will begin rolling out Wednesday, Aug. 30. Each episode will have all five of its hosts participating in the conversation, though who’s leading it will rotate. The hosts will then give all proceeds to the out-of-work staff from their respective shows.
The concept was born out of weekly Zooms that the late night hosts have been holding since the WGA strike began in early May. The virtual check-ins have been a way for the five men to be aligned during the strike, which saw all of their shows — Jimmy Kimmel Live,...

Six months after suffering serious burns to his face during a fire in his car garage, Jay Leno hilariously explained to Chris Wallace where his skin grafts came from. And the comedian still knows how to land a punch line.
“People think that skin grafts are expensive,” Leno said on Friday’s episode of “Who’s Talking with Chris Wallace” on Max. “But I have a friend who’s a mohel, and he gave me a bag of them! You can’t even tell,” he said smiling as he patted his face.
A mohel, for those that don’t know, is a person who performs the Jewish rite of circumcision.
“It’s funny, it doesn’t look like foreskin,” Wallace responded while laughing hysterically.
“No,” Leno said, “but when I get excited – well, never mind.”
The 73-year-old comedian’s still got it.

When we think of the most iconic late night talk show moments, there are a few that stand out: Crispin Glover nearly taking off David Letterman’s head, Jerry Lawler slapping Andy Kaufman in the face in 1982 and Jay Leno asking Hugh Grant on July 10th, 1995, “What the hell were you thinking?” following his June arrest for engaging in sexual acts with a prostitute named Divine Brown. We couldn’t have said it better, Jay.
Speaking with Chris Wallace on his titular show, Jay Leno remembered giving Hugh Grant one last chance to back out of the interview, which was scheduled well before the incident. “You know, he was great. Nowadays, you’d have 100 handlers. I called him up, and I said, ‘You still in for tomorrow?’ He goes, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘You know, I effed up. And, you know, it’s my fault.’”

Jay Leno is looking back at his famous interview with Hugh Grant on The Tonight Show.
During a conversation with Chris Wallace on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, available on Max and airing on CNN, the former late night host reflected on securing an interview with Grant in 1995, which was most notably after the actor was arrested for picking up a sex worker. Prior to the arrest, Grant had been scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show to promote his film, Nine Months.
During the interview, Leno was quick to ask Grant “What the hell were you thinking?” as the audience erupted into laughter.
“You know in life what’s a good thing to do and a bad thing to do. I did a bad thing,” Grant told the late night host at the time. The rest of the interview remained lighthearted with Grant explaining how the arrest impacted...

Hey, did you hear this one, folks? Just under six months after suffering severe burns during an accident while filming his titular reality show, Jay Leno has detailed his continued pain even as he continues to work.
Speaking with People, Jay Leno said of recovering from his accident, “I’m alright, I’ve got a broken collar bone and two broken ribs and a couple cracked knee caps, but I’m okay…There’s a little pain, but it’s not bad…Pain is constant, so if it’s constant you’re okay. Pain from a burn, after a while you get used to it and eventually it goes away, but it’s not terrible.”
Despite the pain, Jay Leno has tried to give his accident and the reactions to it a little perspective. “They were just accidents…Real people have accidents every day. When you’re in show business people fawn all over you.

Jay Leno is sharing an update on his recovery, months following a garage fire and motorcycle crash.
The former Tonight Show host recently told People Magazine that he’s doing “alright.” Adding, “I’ve got a broken collar bone and two broken ribs and a couple cracked knee caps, but I’m Ok.”
In November 2022, Leno sustained third-degree burns in a garage fire. He was working on one of his vintage cars at the time of the incident. Months after, he said in an interview with Las Vegas Review-Journal that he suffered additional injuries when he got knocked off his motorcycle at the first of the year.
As he reflects on both incidents, he told the outlet that “they were just accidents.”
He continued, “Real people have accidents every day. When you’re in show business people fawn all over you. And if you start whining and complaining about it you’re a whiny,...

In a split ruling today, a state appeals court panel reinstated a grant of parole for former Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten, overturning an earlier decision by Gov. Gavin Newsom to block her release.
Tuesday’s decision does not automatically mean Van Houten will be released. The state could still appeal the ruling to the California Supreme Court. Neither the governor’s office nor the state Attorney General’s Office immediately returned a message seeking comment.
Van Houten, now 73, is serving a potential life prison sentence for taking part in the killings of Leno and Rosemary Labianca in their Los Feliz home more than 50 years ago.
The Manson killings shook Los Angeles and defined a generation. The story of the Manson family has inspired countless shows and films, including, most recently, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Victoria Pedretti played a character called “Lulu” in the film,...

Jay Leno’s game show You Bet Your Life will pause production amid the WGA work stoppage in support of striking writers.
The comedian, WGA member and host of the Fox comedy quiz series announced the decision on Monday morning.
“As a member of the Writers Guild for almost 40 years, I truly understand and stand in solidarity with my fellow union members,” he said. “For that reason, we are suspending production of our game show, You Bet Your Life, until such time when an agreement can be reached.”
He concluded his statement by jokingly adding, “I’m sorry I ran out of glazed, I now realize powdered sugar is not the same thing.”
The former Tonight Show host was referencing his appearance handing out donuts from Randy’s on the strike picket lines outside Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. In the footage, union members can be heard thanking the comedian and fellow guild member.

Jay Leno, 72, is recovering from a recent motorcycle accident that broke several of his bones. This comes just months after he was severely burned by a gasoline fire in his garage, including third-degree burns to his face.
The talk show host said last week that he was knocked off his vintage motorcycle and injured with broken ribs and two cracked kneecaps in a crash near Burbank, California.
He explained that he was heading back to his garage on his motorcycle. “So I turn around, I start to cut through a parking lot,” Leno said. “And there was a wire across two poles which was not well marked and, boom, I just got — it clotheslined me, hit me in the neck and threw me off the bike.”
Leno said he felt somewhat guilty about getting injured so soon after recovering from his burns.

When summer arrives, many people go on vacation. A chunk of NBC’s venerable “Tonight Show” staff instead went to Game Camp.
Over the course of eight weeks during this year’s hot season, staffers set about creating a bunch of new contests that “Tonight” host Jimmy Fallon can try with guests. One of Fallon’s strengths has been the creation of a “play along” attitude that gets celebrities to do everything from impressions of famous musicians to egg tosses. Thanks to the work this summer, he will soon be able to offer a few new tests of skill.
“We are still tinkering with them,” says Chris Miller, who joined “Tonight” as producer and showrunner in March. “We are building sets, and some of them have electronic devices and meters.”
