Humans, orcs, elves, fairies, and other mystical creatures all inhabit the same alternate universe in this wondrous full trailer for Bright, Netflix and David Ayer’s fantasy epic that made a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con.
Drawing from his experience on End of Watch, Ayer’s latest creative venture – one that purportedly came at the expense of his involvement in Universal’s Scarface – largely revolves around two mismatched Lapd cops: the orc Nick Jacoby (Joel Edgerton) and his very human partner-in-crime, Scott Ward (Will Smith). Working closely with the city’s remarkably diverse population, Smith and Edgerton’s leads attempt to peacefully coexist, but when a deadly weapon emerges to the fore, Jacoby and Ward must pull together to stop the City of Angels from descending into chaos.
What is it, exactly? Well, it’s an ancient wand capable of granting wishes at a moment’s notice, so you...

The future’s Bright – the new trailer for Will Smith & Joel Edgerton fantasy buddy cop movie is here
Author: Jon Lyus
Blending the buddy cop genre with high fantasy has always been on the cards with director David Ayer. The worlds of his previous films, End of Watch and Suicide Squad, collide and combine to make up Bright – another high profile movie grab from Netflix.
Starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton (under some heavy prothestics) the film’s new trailer has the obligatory Will Smith schtick along with some heavy duty copping. This brave new world of Guns and Monsters looks to be an interesting way to explore injustice and prejudice. The trailer beats have a little too much of the familiar about them, however End of Watch was such a high point that we’re hopeful some of the narrative propulsion is at play here.
Four new images (including the one above) have been released, all of which paint a fine balance of light and dark, with some more derivative fantasy influences.

"Everyone's just trying to get along and have a good life," Will Smith's cop character says in a new trailer for Netflix's forthcoming film, Bright. "All of the races are different. Just 'cause they're different doesn't mean anyone's better or worse than anybody."

At San Diego’s Comic-Con on Thursday, Netflix made its debut with two films. Taking the first position was “Bright,” a film starting Will Smith that is part buddy cop movie, part fantasy, and part saving the world, as you do if you’re Will Smith.
Here’s Netflix’s official release about the film:
Set in an alternate present-day, this action-thriller directed by David Ayer (“Suicide Squad,” “End of Watch,” writer of “Training Day”) follows two cops from very different backgrounds. Ward, a human (Will Smith), and Jakoby, an orc (Joel Edgerton), embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a deadly, thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which in the wrong hands could destroy everything.

As previously reported a world which consists of Orcs and humans working side by side together in the Lapd will finally become a reality come December 2017… All thanks to Suicide Squad’s David Ayer who takes the driving seat behind the Netflix original film, Bright. To take us deep into this dark alternate world three first look images have come to light.
Related: Bright Teaser Trailer
Our first image portrays a gun totting Will Smith as human Lapd Cop, Ward. Mean and moody and ready to take down some otherworldly criminal types.
The second image shows Joel Edgerton as you’ve never seen him before as Jakoby, the first ever Orc Cop to grace the American police force. With his large bulking frame, blue(ish) skin tone and bald head, a menacing demeanour engulfs his very being. We would hate to get on the wrong side of him.

Superherohype recently interviewed actor Jared Leto about the possibility of exploring the Joker's origin in director David Ayer's Suicide Squad.
Leto said during the interview:
“I don’t think I’m allowed to talk about that so much. But we walked in a completely new direction. I think we knew that we had to do that. It was important to do that. When the Joker has been done and done so well, it gives you a bit of an indication of where you shouldn’t go. There’s a bit of a map there. That’s the good part about it.”
Leto added:
“It’s quite an honor. Joker has been written about in pop culture for 75 years. I’m just the latest in the long list of people who have redefined and reinvented this character. The actors, the voice actors, the television series, the writers, the artists and the fans.

Warner Bros. released an awesome series of unique character posters that were created for David Ayer's Suicide Squad. I really like that they went with an unconventional style for their character posters. Each one represents one of the villainous characters that make up the Suicide Squad team.
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?...

There's been plenty of information and photos from David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" film this week, but most of said pictures have been about the main members of the cast - Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), The Joker (Jared Leto) and to lesser extents Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis).
Today, new photos are out of four of the other cast members who make up Task Force X. In this case Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Jay Hernandez as El DIablo and Adam Beach as Slipknot. Photos of the likes of Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood, Raymond Olubowale, Alex Meraz, Jim Parrack and Common's roles in the film remain under wraps.

Barring a few last minute sessions in Harley Quinn’s impromptu tattoo parlour, David Ayer has now officially called a wrap on his adaptation of DC’s Suicide Squad, and the director took to Twitter to commemorate the occasion.
Assembling Task Force X together for one final shot – along with the cast and crew who helped make the film possible – Ayer took a photo to celebrate the end of production on the Toronto set, and you can catch a glimpse of the image in question down below.
Taken from what is likely to be a Kessler crane, it’s a little difficult to make out the leading members of Ayer’s Suicide Squad in the snap, though the majority of the main players seemed to have assembled at the front of the director’s ensemble.

It’s been quite the conclusive week for superhero productions across the industry. Now that filming has wrapped up on both X-Men: Apocalypse and Captain America: Civil War, we now have word of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad finishing up production on its set in Toronto.
Though before the members of Task Force X went their separate ways, CTV News brought together a story about the Warner Bros. wrap party, and how Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney – who portray Harley Quinn and Captain Boomerang in the film, respectively – stopped by a local lemonade stand in the Canadian city to visit a young girl raising money for sick brother. I guess the mercenaries aren’t so bad after all. You can check out their post-production outing in the video above.

Almost all the roles in Suicide Squad are accounted for...except for a precise few. Is Scott Eastwood Deathstroke, Dick Grayson or just a member of Taskforce X? Is Jim Parrack Joker henchman Johnny Frost? Is rapper/actor Common playing Bronze Tiger or Tattoo Man? There's also Alex Meraz and Corina Calderon, who currently have no rumors about what role they'll play in David Ayer's film. Ike Barinholtz also doesn't have any rumors about who he's playing in Suicide Squad but apparently, it's someone not very nice. "I can tell you my character in that movie is someone you would not want at your house for dinner. He’s a very troubled human being. " Sounds like Barinholtz is not one of the (few) good guys appearing the film. Then again, these are all hardboiled criminals being forced to do heroic things by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) and the Us...

Twitter brings largest collection of Bts images for cast of Suicide Squad. Ordinarily, this sort of Bts footage, from a supposedly ‘dark set,’ would be considered a leak. I wouldn’t call this a leak; I’d call it a whole lot of soup bones, tossed out to keep rabid fans at bay.
Still, fans should be grateful – these practical shots should provide a better idea of the cast & character design workability (read: sans-fotoshop promo poster, pre-post production CGI after effects). While Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc is bound to be singled-out, for fan deconstruction, it was Will Smith’s Deadshot that got the lion’s share of coverage – understandable, considering that his was the only character fully decked out, and in action.
While I did get a little preoccupied by the sermonizing, around Deadshot’s neck (is anyone he faces expected to read that?), I suggest everyone else try...
