...and it’s certainly not the glamour gal of magazine fashion spreads and red carpet events…
In Oculus the buxom blonde is reduced to a frothing, clawing, lunatic mom who’s out to kill her daughter, Kaylie (Annalise Basso), and son, Tim (Ryan); and she will stop at nothing.
When it comes to life vs. death, Tim must take matters into his own hands. But just because crazy-mom is dead, it doesn’t mean she’s gone!
Read on to see what Garrett has to say about that and more.
Dread Central: We'd love to know all about Oculus -- who do you play, and what's the story?
Garret Ryan: I play the role of young Tim Russell.

"We did Oculus the short back in 2005. I always hoped that it would turn into an anthology series. I wanted to do more shorts, but unfortunately I was never able to scrape together the resources to do so. However, once it went out and hit the festivals for a while, there was an immediate interest in a feature length expansion. The movie is home to mirrors and cameras inside of a room,...

Fox will be bringing James McTeigue’s latest drama, The Raven, to Blu-Ray this October. The film stars John Cusack, Alice Eve and Luke Evans.
Edgar Allan Poe is without a doubt one of the most important literary figures of all-time, which meant it was only a matter of time before someone translated that to a motion picture for the big screen.
Director James McTeigue (V for Vendetta) attempts to dramatize the last days of Poe with a horror mystery that is well-acted, but predictable and illogical. It’s not complete trash but overall, The Raven is gory, filled with plot-holes and forgettable on almost every level.
Our very own Kristal Cooper had this to say about the film in her official review:
It’s silly, has plot holes big enough to drive a truck through and is little more than a gothic version of Law & Order, yet it has...

For a while now it’s been known that 20th Century Fox was fast-tracking two Marvel properties that will revert back to Disney come this fall. But one of them, now, may be scrapped in the end. As I mentioned at the beginning of the year, Fox wants to reboot Fantastic Four. After two films that, while making a star out of Chris Evans (one guesses it did help him get Captain America), they failed to ignite at the box office here or overseas. Josh Trank, –who helmed the low budget “found film” feature Chronicle- was the leading contender back in January when the word broke. Fox has now made it official.
