Jack Shea was born on 7 September 1910 in Lake Placid, New York, USA. He was married to Elizabeth Stearns. He died on 22 January 2002 in Saranac Lake, New York, USA.
First double Gold Medalist in Olympic Winter Games' history (1,500 and
500 meters Speed Skating, 1932). Teammate Irving Jaffee duplicated Shea's feat, winning the 5,000 and 10,000 meters.
