These in my eyes, are the worst January signings in recent times in The Barclays Premier League. Of course there are a few more, although for the money that has been paid and the fact that clubs are not getting what they paid for puts these five above all others.
Far too much money is being shelled out on players by clubs desperate to boost their squad in the Winter period without actually looking at how a certain player can fit into a certain system, or even just being able to offer more than what they already have in the squad.
Clubs monitor and scout players from all over the world throughout the season, some watch a player for a year or two before making a move in the transfer market for them. Although come January, this all goes out of the window with any average to decent player all...

Tom Pellereau
This year’s Apprentice final is due to air on Sunday night and all hopeful Tom Pellereau has confessed that the person he is most worried about beating, is Helen Louise Milligan.
The quirky inventor told Buzz magazine:
“It’s very hard to look beyond the juggernaut that is Helen…she had nine wins in a row!”
Helen is certainly making quite an impression on the inventor!
In the interview, Helen admitted that she has only one major regret in life which is, for a business big-wig, pretty embarrassing. It was, “Saying ’gracias’ to someone in Paris.” However, if that’s all she has to regret, we think she’s doing pretty well!
Susan Ma also has a few regrets herself after she snubbed the people in Birmingham by saying they were too poor to buy her product. She revealed, “I really can’t apologise enough for saying that,...

Karen Brady has warned the Junior Apprentice candidates not to "underestimate" her. The sporting executive, 41, promised that she would not miss "a single thing" while working as Sir Alan Sugar's "eyes and ears" on the reality show. Brady, who has replaced Margaret Mountford on the BBC One series, will team up with Apprentice regular Nick Hewer in monitoring the candidates during their weekly tasks. Speaking about her skills, Brady told the BBC: "I think the candidates must be very careful not to underestimate me, while I won't shout and will always be polite, I'm watching everything. I won't miss a single thing." Brady said that "tactics" would be a waste of time and claimed that there would be "no hiding place" for contestants hoping to keep a low profile. (more)...

Philip Taylor has claimed that the 2010 series of The Apprentice will be weaker without Margaret Mountford. Mountford, who worked as Sir Alan Sugar's "eyes and ears" on the show for five years, announced that she was leaving at the end of the last series. The 56-year-old corporate lawyer quit to concentrate solely on her PhD in papyrology. Taylor, who was a contestant on the 2009 series, said that Mountford's replacement Karen Brady would struggle to match up to her predecessor. "I think she is a huge loss," Taylor told Digital Spy.
