“Dancing with the Stars” premiered in 2005 with a focus on teaching celebrities some fancy footwork. But along the way the professional dancers who teach and partner with those celebrity amateurs became stars in their own right. Many of them returned to the show year after year, and over a dozen have won the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy over the course of the series. Scroll down to see every single “DWTS” pro champion, listed by their number of victories.

Will Grammy-winner Jason Mraz win the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy this season on “Dancing with the Stars”? He’s one of five finalists headed into the December 5 season finale, and he’s the latest in a long line of successful recording artists who have appeared on the show.

It’s hard to know how musicians will do on “DWTS.” Given their professional experience, they usually have a natural sense of rhythm and musicality, but they don’t always have prior dance experience, and they don’t always make it far in the competition. Sometimes they fall short like Spice Girls member Melanie C, “American Idol” champ Jordin Sparks and R&b star Tinashe, often because viewer voters let them down.

With “Dancing with the Stars” set to come back for a 32nd season this fall on ABC after spending last year on Disney+, there’s a long list of celebrities who deserve to compete on the dance floor. Two of my previous suggestions came true: Frankie Muniz (who came in third in season 25) and Kel Mitchell (who came in second in season 28). Below is a list of female stars I think the show should consider inviting to the ballroom to vie for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with my picks? Judge Mathis and The People’s Court revival are ending their long TV runs, both victims of challenging market conditions within the daytime syndication landscape.
Judge Mathis has been on the air for 24 seasons, winning a 2018 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program. It was the first court show featuring an African American jurist to win.
Judge Greg Mathis is the longest-running Black male host on television and the second-longest-reigning arbitrator in courtroom television history, behind Judith Sheindlin.
The news follows the recent announcement that another daytime staple, Dr. Phil, will be ending its run after 21 seasons. It’s been a transformational year in the increasingly challenging daytime syndication landscape, with stalwarts The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wendy Williams Show, Maury, Dr. Oz as well as The Real also ending within the past 12 months.

Psychics Predicted Paul Abdul’s Life-Changing ‘American Idol’ Journey Three Years Before It Happened
Paula Abdul had a fantastic career before finding her seat at the American Idol judge’s table in 2002. She was a Laker Girl, an in-demand choreographer, and a multi-platinum recording artist. However, working on a reality competition series wasn’t on her radar. Her career was in flux when two psychics predicted she would experience a life-changing role on a new television series three years before Idol happened.

As the finale for season 31 of “Dancing with the Stars” approaches this Monday night on Disney+, the last four celebrities in the competition who are gunning for the coveted Mirror Ball trophy are Wayne Brady, Charli D’Amelio, Shangela, and Gabby Windey. Each of them have proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the ballroom throughout these past nine weeks. There’s a case to be made for any one of them to come out on top. However, the one who I think we should really keep an eye out for is Windey.
Throughout the show’s long history, four “Bachelorette” stars have competed for the Mirror Ball trophy. So far two of them have won. In 2019 Hannah Brown managed to prevail in a finale that also included Lauren Alaina (fourth place), Ally Brooke (third place), and Kel Mitchell (runner-up). Dance ability isn’t the only factor that affects a contestant’s performance on “Dancing with the Stars.” While half of the results are determined by the judges’ scores, the other half depends on the votes of viewers at home. That’s how we got Bobby Bones, one of the most shocking victors in the history of the show. Could “Jersey Shore” reality star Vinny Guadagnino follow in his footsteps this year?
Bobby Bones was never the best dancer in season 27. Rivals like Milo Manheim and Evanna Lynch consistently outscored him on the judges’ leaderboard. But he had charisma and enthusiasm in spades, and the country radio personality came to the show with a highly motivated fan base that has helped other country celebs like Kellie Pickler, Jana Kramer, and Lauren Alaina make it far into the competition, with Pickler also winning.

“Dancing with the Stars” season 31 premieres on Monday night, September 19, on its new home, Disney+, but which of the 16 celebrities will win the Mirror Ball Trophy? The celebs haven’t stepped foot in the ballroom yet, but fans have been making their predictions here in our predictions center since the cast was officially announced. So who are they betting on?
Right now it looks like a two-horse race. Jordin Sparks leads our predictions with 4/1 odds based on fans’ combined predictions. So what makes her such a strong early contender to win? Well, she’s an “American Idol” alum, just like season 16 winner Kellie Pickler. And beyond that, singers and recording artists in general have had a strong track record on “DWTS.” Consider other winners like Drew Lachey (season two), Nicole Scherzinger (season 10), and Amber Riley (season 17), and finalists like Nick Carter (season 21), Normani (season 24), Lindsey Stirling (season 25), and Ally Brooke...

“American Idol” auditions continued with the third episode of Season 20 on Sunday, March 13. Within the tour hours of cheers and tears, nine talented artists earned golden tickets to Hollywood, but there was one major misstep. So who was the best of the night? And did these aspiring stars choose the right songs? Below I rank each hopeful from the least impressive (but with room to grow) to a possible Season 20 frontrunner. I also throw in a song suggestion or artist I’d love to hear them cover.
Usually, I focus solely on the auditions that were successful but I would be remiss not to write about Taniya Boatwright’s audition of “A Change is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. The 17-year old wowed me, but it resulted in a “No” from judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. So if you read this Taniya, please audition next season because you were great.

Kellie Pickler remembers her American Idol audition like it was yesterday. At just 19 years old, the aspiring country singer waited in line back in 2005 to sing Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" and Martin McBride's "A Broken Wing" in front of judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson. With three yes votes, Kellie said goodbye to her day job and hello to her first plane ride ever, which was headed to Los Angeles. "I was roller-skating burgers out at Sonic and trying to figure out what am I gonna do with my life," Kellie exclusively told E! News. "I got in line for Idol and it was obviously the rocket that launched my career, but it was God that was the...

“The Masked Singer” let the dog out. The third episode of Season 6 saw the quick exit of hip-hop star Tyga, who had performed under the Dalmatian costume.

Tyga as Dalmatian sang “Beautiful,” by Snoop Dogg feat. Pharrell Williams. His clue package and costume played heavily into football and football imagery.

“The Masked Singer” let the dog out. The third episode of Season 6 saw the quick exit of hip-hop star Tyga, who had performed under the Dalmatian costume.
Host Nick Cannon said he figured it out immediately. But none of the show’s panelists got it right. Ken Jeong named Reggie Bush as his pick. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg guessed Kevin Hart. Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke at least guess a rapper, but thought it was Nelly.

Queen of Hearts made her royal debut during the third episode of “The Masked Singer,” and she already has two superfans at the judges’ table: Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger. Both panelists declared the red-faced, blue-lipped costume to be a “front-runner” to win Season 6 after her performance of “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga. The southern belle is allegedly best friends with two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank, and she describes her weakness as standing still and her strength as pulling heartstrings. Do you agree that Queen of Hearts is on track to join the “Tms” winners list? Sound off down in the comments section.
“What a way to open the show,” Jenny McCarthy shouted after the queen’s powerful rendition in the September 29 episode. Jenny knows something about great performances, as she’s the two-time reigning Golden Ear winner for Seasons 4 and 5. Queen of Hearts competed on Wednesday night alongside...

Derek Hough has a record six Mirrorball trophies, two Emmys for his choreography on “Dancing with the Stars” and is widely regarded as one of the series’ best pros ever, but he felt like a fraud in his early seasons.
“I definitely look back at my approach to the show. In my earlier seasons, I was nervous and I was uncertain. I was kind of faking it, to be honest with you,” Hough told Jana Kramer, a “Dancing” alum, on her “Whine Down” podcast. “I wasn’t really a teacher or choreographer. People used to say, ‘Oh, you’re a good choreographer.’ I’m like, I never really looked at myself in that way. That made me fearful and afraid.”
Hough made his “Dancing” debut in Season 4 in 2007, not as a pro but as a guest instructor helping out his sister Julianne Hough and her partner Apolo Anton Ohno, who...
