Damage is largely an expository episode of Supergirl, letting us get more familiar with our new characters as well as the new dynamics between old favourites. But don’t mistake that for meaning the episode is clunky or a bore. On the contrary, for the second week in a row Supergirl continues the winning formula of focusing on the women at its core, with the welcome addition of James.

Earlier this month, Sam Smith had quite the lovey-dovey day out with 13 Reasons Why star Brandon Flynn in NYC. The pair was spotted holding hands, cozying up together in a cafe, and even sharing a small kiss on the street. Brandon only just recently revealed his sexuality in an inspiring coming-out post that called out Australia's ongoing conflict over gay marriage. Sam, on the other hand, just dropped a heartbreaking new single called "Too Good at Goodbyes," which is the first track from his highly anticipated sophomore album. Just goes to show: Sam may be all about emptiness and heartbreak on the airwaves, but his love life is rather full.

In the packed “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale, one detail may have slipped past viewers in light of all the other information that was imparted in a scene between Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and Samwell Tarly (John Bradley).
Bran revealed to Sam that Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) real parents were Prince Rhaegar Targaryen (Wilf Scolding) and Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi), which would make him a Targaryen bastard. But Sam set Bran straight by revealing that Rhaegar and Lyanna had actually married, which not only made Jon legitimate, but also the heir to the Iron Throne.

In the sneak peek from tonight’s all-new hour, titled “The Vessel,” Sam looks outside of hunter lore and turns to actual history for answers about how to defeat Amara and discovers that there may be a weapon that could help them in their fight. The CW has released the first promo video for the mid-season premiere of Supernatural, “The Devil in the Details,” which can be viewed above.
After bearing witness to what was quite possibly the most grandiose mid-season finale in the history of the show, fans may agree that whatever Lucifer has in store for Sam may not be as torturous as having to wait to see what comes next. Such is the nature of great cliffhangers.
Speaking of what’s next for Sam and Dean Winchester, it seems the network has decided to shroud that in mystery and instead largely focuses the promo video on supporting characters, which is in no way a bad thing.
Spotlighting the show’s irreverent brand of humor, we see Crowley and Rowena celebrating Christmas (in a January episode, no less) with Crowley receiving a Funko Pop Vinyl figure of Sam. I have to admit that...

Disney
After several years of speculation and anticipation, it seems as though Tron 3 is finally moving forward. Per The Hollywood Reporter, Tron: Legacy actors Garrett Hedlund (Sam Flynn) and Olivia Wilde (Quorra), along with director Joseph Kosinski, have been reassembled by Disney to take audiences back to the Grid.
Mercifully, fans now won’t have to wait another 28 years for the franchise to continue (like last time), but years of fan dreaming and the series’ inherent limitless potential have ensured that the next chapter has no choice but to be bigger and bolder. The third film will undoubtedly continue to carry forward certain story threads left dangling by Legacy, such as Quorra’s existence outside the Grid, and retain a number of basic series staples, like disc wars and lightcycles, while offering audiences a fresh experience different from its predecessors.
Though it will have to keep moving the franchise in new directions,...

From Battlestar Galactica to Farscape, Doctor Who and more, Juliette cheers on 10 TV characters who made a big first impression...
Some characters slip onto our TV screens quietly and sneak into our hearts slowly. We watch them develop and grow, and come to love them over time, sometimes despite very inauspicious beginnings (being eaten by a wheelie bin springs to mind).
Others make more of an impression from the get-go.
In this list, we’re celebrating some of the most memorable and impressive entrances of characters from TV shows. To make the list, a character had to be (or eventually become) a regular or frequently recurring character – no one-shot wonders here. And note this is a list for TV characters, so you won’t see any Captain Jack Sparrow or even the Borg Queen – all of these had to make their big impression on the small screen.

Poyet – ‘We did not look like worst team in Premier League’
Allardyce – ‘Draw was a fair result’
A tense, often sluggish draw was played out at Upton Park, but the result leaves both clubs deep in the relegation mire. Sunderland were the more impressive of the two sides and will perhaps see this as a missed opportunity to register their first away win of the season. Manager Gus Poyet was upbeat about his sides performance and also their chances of survival, stating ‘We didn’t look like the worst team in the Premier League. To get out of this situation, you need to score, win and take 3 points’
He went on to add that this performance resembled something that he had been looking for. ‘ Today, especially in the first half, this was my team. I’m upset that we didn’t win, but for the first time,...

West Ham bubbles flat as they are held by Poyet’s boys.
It ended in stalemate at Upton Park between West Ham and Sunderland, a point that will do neither sides hopes of survival the power of good and will increase the pressure on Hammers boss Sam Allardyce.
The first half was a tense affair with chances few and far between and both teams showing a lack of cutting edge, whilst looking nervous in front of goal. With Allardyce and Gus Poyet lining up with a 4-5-1 formation, space was limited and the two sides often cancelled each other out, with Maiga and Altidore starved of service for their respective sides.
The game had all the hallmarks of the cliched ‘six pointer’ with nerves apparent but quality less so, and both teams struggling to find any rhythm. The first real chance of the game fell to...

Editor’s note: Allison’s review of In a World originally ran during this year’s Laff, but we’re re-posting it now as the film opens in limited theatrical release this weekend. Children naturally grow up wanting to be like their parents, and some actually do. Children of actors becoming actors, children of musicians becoming musicians, and I’m sure there are some children of accountants who become accountants. (Okay, maybe not that last one.) Carol (Lake Bell) wants to be a voice over actor, but not because her father, famous voice over actor Sam (Fred Melamed) is one, but because she understand the power of voice. Carol spends her days as a vocal coach (boasting Eva Longoria as one of her clients) and logging various accents into her archive of voices. Big Brother star Sam Evans stripped off and flaunted his impressive torso for fellow contestant Jemima Slade within hours of entering the house last night (June 13).
The partially deaf 23-year-old, who has emerged as an early favourite to win this year's series, jokingly peeled off his shirt, spun it in the air and flexed after being dared by Jemima, who is the founder of a 'goldiggers' dating site.
As the housemates picked out their beds, Jemima said to Sam: "Go on then, let's see. Apparently he's got a lot of muscle."
Sam initially seemed reluctant to shed his clothes, but the 41-year-old told him: "I've seen in in the mirror... don't worry, I've got eyes everywhere."
Although Sam may have caught Jemima's eye, the Welsh footballer later admitted to having a crush on their fellow housemate Sallie Axl.

Sam Poueu is the first "The Biggest Loser" player to reach his goal weight on the ranch, so Tuesday night when he only lost two pounds, it wasn't a surprise. He has been in the bottom two before because he has so little weight left to lose, but previously, he was saved. When the vote was tallied on Tuesday's episode, two players voted to send Sam home; two voted to send home Michael Ventrella. "The Biggest Loser" rules state that when there is a tie, the player with the lowest percentage of weight loss goes home and that was Sam. "I was surprised," he says. "I thought, 'We are at six right now. Only four compete for the grand prize. If Mike makes it into the final four, he has a huge chance of winning the entire thing. You think of past contestants winning at 50 percent or more of total body weight lost.
