Fantasy author Jonathan Stroud visited the McM Expo London Comic Con this weekend to unveil a graphic novel adaptation of his fantasy novel The Amulet of Samarkand.
The Amulet of Samarkand is the first book in his bestselling Bartimaeus Trilogy - which has sold more than six million copies worldwide - to be converted into a comic book. The cover is featured above and some pages are included below (click on them to enlarge).
Stroud adapted the story with Andrew Donkin, with art by Lee Sullivan and colour by Nicolas Chapuis.
Donkin also collaborated on the graphic novel versions of Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl series, while comic book artist and illustrator Lee Sullivan has also worked on Transformers, Judge Dredd and Doctor Who.
Set in an alternative, modern-day London ruled by demon-summoning wizards, the graphic novel sees Nathaniel, a young magician's apprentice, with revenge on his mind. Desperate to...
