Australian model and actor, James O’Halloran, has just become the second male model in history to join the long-running game show.
Following a nationwide casting call and extended competition, which included various tasks based on personality, appearance, and ability to model a car, O’Halloran emerged victorious when the winner was announced on Tuesday. The 30-year-old model beat out two other semi-finalists, Jay Byars and Jonathan Morgan, and will serve as The Price Is Right’s sole male model for one week starting December 15.

Three finalists emerged, and America voted for the favorite one. In the end, O'Halloran beat out finalists Jay Byars and Jonathan Morgan. O'Halloran doesn't know how much of his success is due to his Aussie accent,...

Then, in 2012, the show hired Rob Wilson to be its first male model. (And why not? More than half of the Tpir audience is female.)
After Wilson left the show earlier this year, producers hatched a new plan: to have America vote for the male model to replace him. They held open casting calls around the country. Semifinalists were flown to Los Angeles, where they competed in various...
