- Roy Bargy was born on July 31, 1894 in Michigan, USA. He was an actor, known for Club Oasis (1957), Summer Playhouse (1954) and The Colgate Comedy Hour (1950). He died on January 15, 1974 in San Diego, California, USA.
- Jazz composer and pianist. Performed with the bands of Charlie Straight, Isham Jones and Paul Whiteman. With the latter, he became the first pianist to record George Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F. From 1943, Bargy served as music director for Jimmy Durante.
