In–demand Elle Fanning, who stars in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Competition entry The Neon Demon, features in the voice cast alongside Maggie Ziegler and Carly Rae Japsen.
Eric Summer and Eric Warin direct Ballerina, which Screen understands is a working title. The story takes place in 1884 as an ambitious orphan arrives in Paris and trains at the Opera Ballet School under someone else’s identity.
She learns from a tough mentor that talent alone is not enough and she must work hard to succeed. Finally she meets her soul mate, an inventor, and together they inspire each other to achieve their dream.
Carole Noble and Laurent Zeitoun wrote the screenplay, and the producers are Nicolas Duval Adassovsky, Yann Zenou, and Laurent Zeitoun of Quad Productions, Main Journey and Andre Rouleau and Valerie D’Auteuil of Caramel Film.

The Weinstein Co. has picked up U.S. rights to directors Eric Summer and Eric Warin’s French animated movie “Ballerina,” TheWrap has learned. Elle Fanning, pop star Carly Rae Jepsen and Maggie Ziegler are attached to voice the lead characters in the English-lanuage version of the film, which is currently in production in Montreal, Canada. Christina Aguilera has debuted a new track online. The star has unveiled 'Blank Page', which has been lifted from her forthcoming album Lotus. The track is a ballad co-written by Aguilera with Chris Braide and Sia Furler. The Saturdays are five superpower women as captured in a music video in companion to their new single "Ego". In one of the scenes, one of the band's member Mollie King makes a fake superhero guy, who is over-confident with himself, falling on his back only with one blow.
"Ego" is the second single taken from the girl group's sophomore set called "Wordshaker" which has been in stores since October. Produced by Steve Mac, the track is aimed to follow up the album's first single "Forever Is Over".
In this album which was recorded in such places as London, Los Angeles and Sweden, The Saturdays reunite with Ina Wroldsen and Chris Braide, the two producers who made contribution to the band's Platinum-certified debut album "Chasing Lights". This second effort so far peaked at No. 9 on U.K. Albums chart.
