- Chauncey Morehouse was born on March 11, 1902 in Niagara Falls, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for Saturday Night Swing Club (1938), The Beiderbecke Affair (1985) and The Beiderbecke Tapes (1987). He died on October 31, 1980 in Medford, New Jersey, USA.
- Noted pioneer jazz drummer who worked with the bands of Paul Specht (1922), Ted Weems and Jean Goldkette (1925). Between 1927 and 1929,he made several classic recordings with trumpeter Bix Beiderbecke and saxophonist Frankie Trumbauer. After 1930, he went to New York and for the next thirty years did studio and radio work. Inventor of the N'Goma Drum.
