Southern Gothic is an independent horror film that revolves around vampire, preachers, strippers, and a congregation of the undead, which completed in 2007. This sounds like a good premise, but the film, which showed at SXSW, has been described as a "sorry excuse for a horror film," (David Harely, Bloody Disgusting) and "the horror elements feel like something of an afterthought" (Keith Brown, Eye for Film).
