There's already a feature film adaptation of the Square Enix video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution in the works with director Scott Derrickson and his Sinister co-writer C. Robert Cargill behind the project. But since we've yet to hear any updates about the film since 2012 (Derrickson has been busy with Deliver Us from Evil with Eric Bana), Moe Charif and his Decode Films production team decided to make their own 12-minute short fan film, and while the action leave something to be desired, the production quality is great, and it's something cool for fans of the game to sink their teeth into while the real film develops. Watch it! Here's Moe Carif's short film Deus Ex: Human Revolution from Machinima (via Hero Complex): For those who don't know, Deus Ex: Human Revolution follows an ex-swat specialist who’s been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America’s most experimental biotechnology firms.

From "Portal: No Escape" to "Croft," there's been some impressively produced fan films based on video game titles in recent years. Add another to the list with Moe Charif's new twelve-minute short based on Eidos' well regard reboot of the series "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" which was released in 2011.
A proper feature based on the game has been in development for some time, co-written by "Siniser" scribes C. Robert Cargill and Scott Derrickson, but there's been little word on it since comments from Cargill at Comic Con last year.
