Though the long-running animated series "Futurama" may be over for good, the team of writers and creators behind the upcoming mobile game based on the franchise are relying fans with callbacks to various classic episodes and gags.
"Futurama: A Game of Drones: is a free-to-play match-four puzzle game for casual gamers and writer David Grossman, who also worked on the popular "The Secret of Monkey Island" and "The Wolf Among Us" titles, tells Gamespot that they aimed to capture the humor from the show but still had to shift things around for the new medium:
"Futurama has always used a lot of parody and satire, and we're more than happy to have an opportunity to add more. The one peculiar additional goal we have that the writers of the TV show did not is to bring meaning to the play of the game, wrapping the mechanics up into the Futurama universe to connect everything together.

Sascha Hartmann’s Sir Billi is able to boast being the very first, computer animated feature, to be created and produced entirely in Scotland. However on this evidence, there’s a very good chance this could well be the last, too.
The title role – voiced by the distinguishable Sean Connery – is an ageing veterinarian, with a lust for excitement. The octogenarian – dubbed the Guardian of the Highlands – shows no signs of slowing down, however he is put the test when he embarks on a fantastical mission to save Bessie Boo (Valentina Hartmann), a beaver who is also an illegal fugitive (naturally). With evil policemen on their tail, alongside friends such as Gordon the Goat (Alan Cumming), who think he’s a dog, and the aquaphobic Admiral (Patrick Doyle) – it seems a challenging battle of wits is required to safely escape.
First and foremost – and where Sir Billi suffers most greatly,...

Animation Sir Billi the Vet, which was seven years in the making and has been widely panned, is out on 13 September
Sean Connery's final film, the animated tale Sir Billi the Vet, will debut in just three UK cinemas before heading straight to DVD after failing to ignite interest among distributors, reports the Scotsman.
The £15m film, featuring voice work by the 83-year-old actor as an eccentric skateboarding veterinarian who must face down villainous policeman and corrupt lairds in his hunt for Scotland's last beaver, has endured a difficult production process to say the least. Seven years in the making, it was panned by critics on debut at the Sonoma international film festival in the Us in April last year, despite Connery's high-profile backing.

Sir Sean Connery lends his voice to the title character in Sir Billi, a family friendly, CGI-animated film. It’s also Sir Sean’s first feature film since 2003’s The League Of Extraordinary Gentleman. Here’s a promotional trailer for the movie.
Wasn’t that 007’s car? Directed by Sascha Hartmann and scripted by his wife Tessa Hartmann, the story follows a retired Scottish skateboarding veterinarian grandpa who sets out to rescue an illegal fugitive beaver, with the help of sidekick, Gordon the Goat (Alan Cumming.)
On what tempted Connery to come out of retirement, Tessa Hartmann said,
“We sent a DVD to Sir Sean via a mutual acquaintance and heard nothing for a few weeks when suddenly the phone rang. It was Sir Sean personally explaining that his grandchildren had taken the DVD from his home and kept it. They loved it that much. ‘If it’s good enough for them,...
