Netflix’s new trailer for Firefly Lane season two part one shows there’s tension between Tully and Kate, but it sort of balances that out by revealing more about their lifelong friendship. Part one of the final season premieres on December 2, 2022, with season two part two arriving in 2023.
Season one of the drama, based on the bestselling novel by Kristin Hannah, debuted in February 2021 and starred Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke as lifelong best friends who stuck by each other’s side through thick and thin. Heigl and Chalke are back as Tully and Kate, respectively, for the second season. They’re joined by returning cast members Ben Lawson as Johnny Ryan, Ali Skovbye as young Tully, Roan Curtis as young Kate, Yael Yurman as Marah, and Beau Garrett as Cloud.
Netflix’s official description:
“What could possibly have ended the tight-knit thirty-year friendship of Tully and Kate, our ‘Firefly Lane Girls Forever?...

Thanks to the ladies at Jezebel, there’s a petition to save ABC Family’s fat-camp teen drama Huge, which was canceled Monday. I’ve signed it — here’s why you should, too:
1. While larger folks have been showing up more on television lately — see Drop Dead Diva, Mike & Molly — they’re still far outnumbered by model-thin types. We can’t afford to lose any of them when they’re on even a decent show — and this was more than decent. Which brings us to …

ABC Family has determined that "Huge" is not working for them. The teen series starring Nikki Blonsky and David Hasselhoff's daughter Hayley Hasselhoff has been canceled after one season which debuted over this summer.
"Huge" follows a group of teens from different backgrounds attending a weight loss camp as they embark on their individual journeys of self discovery. Although the weight-focused show started out pretty strong in the pilot, it suffered a rating decline by averaging 1.9 million viewers. This number is low when compared to that by ABC Family's other newbies "Pretty Little Liars" and "Melissa & Joey".

First and foremost we want to thank everyone who embraced Huge and supported it. He has people he loves and he has desires and needs. If you look at it from his point of view — if Eric, Sookie, and Bill are the villains — they do terrible things to him. They double-cross him, they lie to him, they use him. They kill his lover of 700 years. They take from him, then spurn his offerings.

Based on the book of the same name by Sasha Paley, the show takes place at a weight-loss camp and follows seven teens as they struggle with both weight and non-weight related issues. I spoke to Winnie and Savannah on the phone to hear about the project, what it's like working together, and what they hope to accomplish. They both feel strongly about the message they're trying to send with the show, pushing boundaries and reaching out to overweight individuals in a way that's never been done before. "Huge," based on a book by Sasha Paley, was written by "My So-Called Life" creator Winnie Holzman and her daughter, Savannah Dooley.
Described as "Glee" meets "Ugly Betty," the direct-to-series project revolves around six teens and the staff at Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp.
Holzman is exec producing with Alloy's Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy. Robin Schiff (ABC Family's "10 Things I Hate About You") serves as a consulting producer.
The Warner Horizon-produced "Liars," which was originally picked up to pilot, is based on Sara Shepard's books. ABC Family is apparently this close to greenlighting a series based on Sasha Paley's young adult novel Huge, about two roommates at a weight-loss camp who fall for the same guy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. ABC Family is close to greenlighting an hourlong project based on Alloy Entertainment's young-adult novel "Huge" by Sasha Paley.
"My So-Called Life" creator Winnie Holzman wrote the script with her daughter, Savannah Dooley.
The project, described as "Glee" meets "Ugly Betty," explores how young girls deal with body-image issues. It is set at Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp, and revolves around two girls from different backgrounds who fall for the same guy.
Holzman is executive producing the project with Alloy's Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy. Veteran writer-producer Robin Schiff, who executive produces the ABC Family comedy series "10 Things I Hate About You," has been involved in the project from the get-go and is expected to serve as an executive producer.
The untitled light drama has not been officially greenlighted, but casting is under way. A detailed breakdown for the project released last week lists March 29 as a target production start date.
