Being influenced by his musical family, Alexander Track started playing
drums, percussion and piano at the age of 4. His Father, composer
Gerhard Track, a world-renowned orchestra and choir conductor was one
of the original conductors of the Vienna Boys Choir and was responsible
for making them world famous. Alexander's Mother Micaela Maihart Track,
winning the prestigious Beethoven Piano Competition, was a
world-renowned concert pianist. Alexander started performing at a young
age including festivals like the Tri-State Music Festival. Along with
playing drums and percussion and meeting the likes Buddy Rich, Louie
Bellson and Ed Shaughnessy, he also won 1st place in the piano
competition. Alexander went on to playing percussion in many orchestras
including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and played drums and sang in
bands, ensembles and choirs winning many awards along the way.
Alexander studied with Edward Small (Denver Symphony Orchestra),
Colorado Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame winner Sid Rosen among
others and graduated with a Masters in Music Degree from the Academy of
Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria having studied with
Richard Hochrainer (Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra). At the time, the
first American to graduate with honors in 13 years of the history of
the school. Since moving to Los Angeles, Alexander has been very
successful in the music industry performing, scoring pictures,
producing, arranging, recording, mixing and mastering records. The CEO
of Track Entertainment Studios since 1995, Alexander was awarded the
prestigious Grammy Award in 2006 for engineering.
Alexander has been the drummer and backing vocalist for the touring band ROCK SUGAR and has shared stages with the likes of Aerosmith, ACDC, Scorpions, Queensryche, Alice Cooper, Hinder, Kid Rock, Poison, Skid Row, Ace Frehley, Great White, Mr. Big and Tesla among others.
Alexander Track currently resides in Studio City, California. Along with performing and touring he continues to produce, record, compose, arrange, mix and master out of his recording studio, Track Entertainment Studios in Sherman Oaks, California.
