Motörhead guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke died Wednesday at the age of 67 on Wednesday after being admitted to the hospital for pneumonia, the band reported on its official Facebook page.
The guitarist played in the British hard rock band from 1976 to 1982, and was a member during the time of what many fans consider the band’s classic period.
Clarke was the last living member from that period, with Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor dying in 2015 from liver failure and Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister dying in 2016 from a combination of prostate cancer, congestive heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmia.

All too often we hear the cliché of a sporting event that ‘had everything’, but in the case of the 2017 Grand Slam of Darts, this was almost literally the case. The highlight of the Wolverhampton Civic Hall calendar is not a ranking event, but as the last major tournament before the World Championship it represents a golden opportunity to lay down a marker for December – and of course, it’s also where the Pdc and Bdo collide.
Players such as Robert Thornton, Ian White and even Adrian Lewis were shock absentees this year, but it didn’t matter a bit. Day one could well go down as the finest curtain-raisers the game has ever seen. Both the afternoon and evening sessions provided quality in spades; the standout performers being reigning Lakeside champ Glen Durrant and the fast-emerging Rob Cross. Oh, and Michael Van Gerwen played pretty well too.
Although the group phase continued to impress,...

Just when you think the Cleveland Browns had turned a corner, and things were looking up in that part of Ohio, a cruel blow could derail their season.
Brian Hoyer was the long-time back-up quarterback to Tom Brady in New England, before he finally made his first NFL start last season for a beleaguered Arizona Cardinals side.
Now with the Browns having replaced 2012 first rounder Brandon Weeden as the starter, he had them winning, and playing well.
Two consecutive wins over the Vikings and Bengals had seen Rob Chudzinski’s side climb from basement dwellers who had seemingly given up on the season already following the Trent Richardson trade, to a team who could threaten in the Afc North at 2-2.
However on Thursday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills, Hoyer took off on a innocuous quarterback scramble but his leg buckled underneath him and he left the game and did not return.

The Premier League So Far
The Darts Premier League has just finished its twelfth week and with the players travelling to Liverpool on Thursday for the penultimate set of matches before the semi-final spots will be decided, it’s all to play for. Following on from Liverpool the players will entertain the crowd in Newcastle before arriving in London for the play-offs to see who will be crowned Premier League Champion 2013.
With a new format, that saw the world’s top 10 players rather than the standard 8 of previous years, the 2013 Premier League has been the most exciting in the competitions history. The crowds who have consistently packed out arenas around the British Isles have been entertained every Thursday night by top quality darts, including a 170 checkout by James Wade in Manchester.
This new format saw the bottom two players, Gary Anderson (10th) and Wes Newton (9th), eliminated after poor performances...

Everyone with an interest in sport, whether a keen darts fan or not, will know that the name Phil Taylor is synonymous with domination. Since taking up darts professionally in 1988 he has won everything there is to win, including a record breaking sixteen world championship titles. He rapidly became the face of professional darts and a man that everyone in the sport aspired to be as good as, and to one day defeat. For many this was never an option as his sheer class has shone through throughout his career to propel him to number one in the world.
Phil Taylor was seemingly untouchable and despite the odd poor performance, he was still considered the favourite for every tournament he entered. However, 2013 has marked a change in the world of darts, and for many of the top players, the name Phil Taylor is no longer one to be feared.

A darts fan has been kicked out of a televised final for looking like Jesus. Nathan Grindal, 33, was watching the match between Phil Taylor and Kim Huybrechts when other spectators noticed his resemblance. People then began to chant "Jesus", interrupting play at Butlins in Minehead, Somerset. Security was called and six bouncers came to escort Grindal out of the Cash Converters Players' Championship, which was being shown on ITV4. He was taken to the bar outside, where he was bought a pint and told to watch the rest of the match on the television there. After the game had finished, he was even asked to pose for photographs with other darts spectators. He said: "I didn't go to the darts dressed as Jesus - I went (more)...
