"I don't dwell in the past," Martin Hart (Woody Harrelson) tells his former partner Rust Cohle (Matthew McConaughey) in their first conversation in a decade, but neither can escape it. For Martin, the past is a series of mistakes and choices he's continually trying to correct, to varying degrees of success. When he meets Rust, he tells him he's trying (again) to stay away from the bottle, revealing he hasn't had a drop in a few weeks (suggesting he's forever relapsing into bad habits). As for Rust, the past continues to consume him in the shape of Reggie Ledoux, with the unanswered questions and knowledge that his death was just one loose thread in a larger tangle of horror still lingering. But where has Rust been? Detective Maynard Gilbough (Michael Potts) and Detective Thomas Papania (Tory Kittles) have been throwing a cloud of suspicion around Rust in their interviews, questioning...

Someone who certainly knows the turf called the shots on the latest "Blue Bloods."
Series co-star Donnie Wahlberg made his directing debut on the CBS police drama with Friday's (Jan. 31) episode, "Manhattan Queens." He also continued to have a major presence in his weekly role as Detective Danny Reagan, who began the hour hiking through woods with partner Maria (Marisa Ramirez) to the location of a decomposing body.
Maria noted the expensive dress on the victim, who also sported a wig Danny referenced ... prompting him to reason the cops were onto "a story with an unhappy ending."
As Nicky (Sami Gayle) left for school, Erin (Bridget Moynahan) walked part of the way with her, dressed for a morning run. After the mother and daughter separated, Erin noticed a van seemed to be following her. She turned into an alley, and as she looked back at the vehicle, a blanket was...

Rust Cohle is a hard man to love. He tells detectives Papania (Tory Kittles) and Gilbough (Michael Potts) this himself over that six pack of Lone Star and Big Hug Mug–cum-ashtray during their 2012 questioning. Even his patient partner, Hart, has grown weary of his sanctimony. Back in ’95, when Cohle accurately sizes up that Hart got “some pussy” that wasn’t his wife’s, he’s quickly thrown against a locker and warned not to say “fuck all” about other peoples’ personal lives.Ironically, Cohle’s just started to open up about his own past, detailing for Hart during one of their now-signature car rides how his 2-year-old daughter died in a car crash. It’s why he showed up plastered to that family dinner. Or as Cohle sums it up, “I was worried being around that kind of thing.” Some part of this guy has a harder time even...

In a recasting, Kittles will play Detective Thomas Papania who, along with his partner Maynard Gilbough (Michael Potts), question Hart and Cohle about the 1995 case and feel the duo is hiding something.
