Annie Lynne Melchor was born in New York and raised on the West Coast
in California and Arizona. She began her career as a child model and
moved into film and television in Junior High. By high school, she was
earning theatre awards and critical acclaim for her performances in
such plays as A.R. Gurney's "Sylvia," Robert Schenkkan's "Tall Tales:
The Kentucky Cycle," and Margaret Edson's "Wit." Before graduating,
Annie helped to found both an Improv troupe and a touring children's
theatre company.
After high school, Annie applied to only 1 college: The University of
Southern California's School of Theatre and was accepted into the BFA
program.
Annie's "big break" was not as an actress, but as herself in the Fox
Movie Channel original television series "Life After Film School" where
she is a host and interviews actors, directors, producers and
screenwriters of some of Twentieth Century Fox's most popular and
upcoming projects.
