- Anna Maria Sturm is keen on poetry. She created two musical readings: one on the French poet Arthur Rimbaud (together with a classical cellist player) and one with poems by the Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard (In Hora Mortis, together with jazz virtuoso Wanja Slavin). She will be performing both readings from spring '12 onward.
- As a youngster, she helped her mother serve beer and wash dishes in the family's brewery and beer garden.
- She has two horses and loves horse riding.
