This, from 1942-1947, was the headquarters of film-makers Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, and the production office for such pictures as A Matter of Life and Death, The Red Shoes and The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. In the event of air raids, the office came equipped with a set of camp beds.
