We’ve got an indeterminate amount of time to wait before we get to see The Walking Dead season 10’s finale, but we’ve already had a sneak peek at the episode which gives us a lot to chew on. Casting aside the big deal that is our first glimpse at Lauren Cohan’s return as Maggie, the sneak peek also introduced a brand new mystery character, who’s currently being dubbed “the Man in the Iron Mask.”
Last time we saw Alden and Aaron in the penultimate installment, they were surrounded by a bunch of Whisperers. However, in this clip of the finale, their enemies are taken out by a new arrival, a hooded man with his face covered by a mask, wielding a couple of kama weapons. We’re left wondering, though, whether he’s friend or foe and who exactly is under that mask.
Now, one intriguing...

Part I: The Lawrence Bureau
T.E. Lawrence (1888-1935) ranks among the 20th Century’s oddest heroes. This short, smart, and mischievous British soldier helped organize the Arab Revolt against Turkey, a secondary front of the First World War. He became Emir Feisal’s trusted ally, painfully conscious that the Allies wouldn’t honor promises of independence. After the Paris Peace Conference, Lawrence retreated into the Royal Air Force and Tank Corps as a private soldier, T.E. Shaw.
Lawrence lived a curious double life, befriending both private soldiers and notables like Winston Churchill and George Bernard Shaw. He wrote memoirs and translated Homer while repairing boats and seaplanes. His intellect, warmth, and puckish humor masked internal torment – guilt for failing to secure Arab freedom, regret for two brothers killed in the war, shame over an incident where Turkish soldiers sexually assaulted him.

During Season One, the first people Rick met after waking up from his coma was Morgan (James) and his son, Duane (Adrian Kali Turner). They were separated, with Rick moving on to his current group and Morgan promising to catch up. Back in June, James confirmed that there was discussion about his character returning this season but nothing was definitively confirmed. When asked above about those rumors, James was exceptionally coy. The actor did go on to praise his brief time on the show during Season One and extol the virtues of departed-showrunner Frank Darabont. What do you think about Morgan returning? Sound off in the comment section below and be sure to catch all The Walking Dead action every Sunday on AMC. Lennie James has confirmed to Digital Spy that he has had talks about returning to The Walking Dead. James, who is currently promoting BBC One police thriller Line of Duty, starred in the Walking Dead pilot in 2010, when he played Morgan James. Morgan James and his son Duane (Adrian Kali Turner) were two survivors in the post-apocalyptic world and they parted ways with Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes at the end of the first episode. James said that he would be open to a return to the AMC series and admitted that there had been talks. However, so far he has been unable to match up dates in his schedule with the show's filming. "It remains a possibility I could return. The character I played is away for a long time, so it's kind of up to them whether I stay away or if I come back," James told Digital Spy.

213 “Beside the Dying Fire”
Anyone still complaining about AMC’s The Walking Dead sorely lacking in zombie action, exciting pacing and casualties, should be checked for a brain-rotting outbreak, quarantined, and muzzled for good, because the Season 2 finale fulfilled everything malcontents have been screaming for and gave them plenty of storylines to discuss between now and October.
Rick’s Downward Spiral
Before the picture faded to black, Rick declared those who stayed would not have a say in what goes. He does not want to be questioned or second-guessed. Hershel appears on board but the others who have seen Rick’s fall from grace have doubt.
Rick: I’m keeping this group together, alive, and I’ve been doing it all along no matter what. I killed my best friend for you people, for Christ’s sake…You saw how he pushed me, how he compromised us. He gave me no choice.

To countdown to Season Two of The Walking Dead – the best zombie show on TV bar none – landing in October, and simply because we love it, every Wednesday for the next six weeks we’ll be posting retrospective reviews for every episode of AMC‘s jaw-droppingly good flag-ship series.
The art of good zombie-making is a beautiful thing. And it’s also far more subtle than you might imagine. Thankfully, Frank Darabont has never had any trouble with subtelty: throughout his career as a writer and director, he has produced works that gently burrow under your skin, leaving few obvious entry wounds, but all the same growing inside from a mild cinematic fever to a full-blown invasion of your consciousness. Movies like The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, even the lowly (but still wonderful) The Majestic are far from spectacular event movies – they have few bells, whistles or frills – yet...

"We are in the writers' room right now and trying to sketch out a season two plan," he explained to Entertainment Weekly when quizzed about recent rumors that fan favourites such as Tyrese and Michonne would appear in the second season. "Anyone who knows how that process works knows that stuff changes day by day. We are in the massive brainstorming phase. We are talking it all out." However, he did reveal that the writing team are keen on bringing episode one characters Morgan Jones (Lennie James) and his son Duane (Adrian Kali Turner) "both back as soon as possible. We're just dying to get [Lennie] back in the show. He's such a great actor." Finally, the creator of the comic book series and executive producer on the hit AMC series confirmed that the villainous Governor will most definitely Not feature in the next season but it's almost definite we'll get...

Last night's episode of "The Walking Dead" on AMC was jam packed with zombie mayhem! After the slow burn from the pilot, Episode 2 revved up the action and the gore quotient significantly, don't you think?
It's amazing what AMC is letting the creators get away with, and we are loving every second of it! You are definitely missing out on a new classic if you haven't been watching, but don't worry. You can still watch the pilot episode online.

They said it couldn't be done, but they were wrong. Zombies have finally come to television. That's right, those flesh-hungry, desiccated ambulatory corpses are very much alive on The Walking Dead, airing Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. Est (9:00 p.m. Cst) on the basic cable channel AMC.
Based on the comic book written by Robert Kirkman and penciled by Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, The Walking Dead has made the jump to TV thanks to the efforts of Frank Darabont, the writer and director of The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile. If you thought the pilot episode of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” was the bees knees, you haven’t seen anything yet. Here are two promo videos — one with scenes from the upcoming season’s remaining five episodes, and a minute-long preview clip from next week’s episode, titled “Guts”. Looks like ol Rick went and done something bad, cause Laurie Holden looks pretty pissed off in the clip. Note to self: zombies can use objects in “The Walking Dead”. Starring Emma Bell, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey DeMunn, Linds Edwards, Laurie Holden, Andrew Lincoln, Adrian Kali Turner, Sarah Wayne Callies, and Steven Yeun. “The Walking Dead” episode 1.02, “Guts” premieres next week on November 7, 2010 on AMC. function getVideo() { var so = new SWFObject("http://cdn.springboard.gorillanation.com/storage/xplayer/yo033.swf", "mplayer", "590", "375", "8", "#000000"); so.addParam("wmode","transparent"); so.addParam("swliveconnect", "true"); so.addParam("allowscriptaccess", "always"); so.addParam("allowfullscreen", "true"); so.addVariable("pid", "byhw013"); so.

Like the zombies that populate it, "The Walking Dead" doesn't move especially fast. But even though things are at a slow burn throughout much of the show's first two episodes, there's a lot to soak up along the way.
Frank Darabont, the "Shawshank Redemption" director who developed the show and wrote and directed the series premiere (airing at 10 p.m. Et Sunday on AMC), infuses the show with a palpable sense of dread, and the fact that we know we're not getting out of this particular nightmare at the end of a couple hours mostly works in favor of the show. It's a great, gory and surprisingly emotional ride.
While there have been countless zombie movies in the last 40-plus years, there's never been a TV series about humans battling the undead hordes. "The Walking Dead," based on Robert Kirkman's comic book series, takes substantial time away from the...

We only have a few days left before the zombie epic "The Walking Dead" premieres on AMC and reignites our excitement for quality zombie-themed storytelling.
In recent years AMC has become a powerhouse in quality television, what with "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad"'s performances at this year's Emmy Awards. Someone pinch me. I still can’t believe that a network, but particularly a quality network like AMC, is doing an honest to goodness TV series about a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies. I mean, Wtf? How did I get so lucky? And it’s not like this is a shitty, cheap production, either. If you’ve seen any of the trailers (or even just took a gander at this sizzle reel below), then you know a lot of money went into this thing. Plus, they got Frank friggin Darabont to run the whole shebang. And we know Frank Darabont doesn’t do shitty movies on the cheap. Director Frank Darabont and actor Thomas Jane have a long history together. One that Jane wants to continue while inhabiting a wasteland filled with shambling flesh-eaters. Ah yes, dear reader! It's time for more chatter concerning our most looked forward to TV show, "The Walking Dead."
In a recent interview with NBC Washington, Jane dropped the following on fans ...
"That show is going to be a a big fucking hit," he told them at the HBO post-Emmy party. "I've seen it and is fan-fucking-tactic." He continues, "I'm going to come on and do a guest thing ... Maybe play a bad guy." Jane says he'll insist on being human in the guest role, however. He'll slay the undead, but he won't play one. "I'm not going to be a zombie," he says. "That's too much makeup."

As we mentioned in our preview piece, "The Walking Dead" won’t be stingy on the bloodshed. This show plans to test the bounds of gore on TV, and they’ve got one of the best in the business to make sure all the open wounds, guts and severed limps look appropriately realistic.
“Yesterday Greg [Nicotero] was doing some rigging [and] he was absolutely covered in blood,” says Darabont. “That’s my mental image of Greg, always.”
“[Darabont] is not wanting to pull back on anything,” says Nicotero. “He has been really dedicated to really pushing the envelope on this show. We did a scene yesterday where the zombies attack Rick and basically disembowel this horse that he’s riding on. And it was a fucking blast. Like 60 of the extras, we got the horse all dressed and ready to go, and literally, they were so excited about getting in there and tearing this thing apart,...
