Shot quickly and with very little if any budget - basic special effects - daytime soap plots and an overall filming technique that could be charitably called “rustic,” Indonesian horror movies are own the whole often run of the mill affairs. But, every once in a while something out of the ordinary crops up. Enter Monty Tiwa’s horror thriller Keramat (aka Sacred). Filmed in a documentary shaky cam style that’s most definitely out of the norm, it stars Poppy Sovia Migi Parahita and Sadha Triyudha. An Indonesian horror flick we want to see. A diary moment! Alas the trailer isn’t subtitled but you soon get the gist that things aren’t going well. Keramat opens next month.
