Cody graduated from the University of Southern California, earned a certificate from the prestigious Sitcom Acting Program at UCLA (where she was mentored by Two and a Half Men (2003)'s Chuck Lorre and Conchata Ferrell), and studied improvisation and sketch comedy at the legendary Groundlings Theater.
As a writer, Cody has drawn upon her years and breadth of experience working as a woman in the entertainment industry to pen pieces for Teen Vogue, Bust, and Elle Girl.
Acting has remained a life-long constant, with scene-stealing roles in Jason Reitman's Golden Globe-nominated original comedy, Casual (2015); TNT's Rizzoli & Isles (2010); Marvel's Runaways (2017); and BET's top-rated series, The Family Business (2018). Most recently, Cody was seen in the new seasons of FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (2005), Hulu's Dollface (2019), and HBO's Hacks (2021).
