Kay Cannon is ticking off names, one finger at a time. "There's Amy Heckerling," she says, mentioning the Fast Times at Ridgemont High director, "and Tamra Davis ... Nora Ephron did at least one ... and the two women behind the Bridget Jones' movies, I can't remember their names." After some memory-jogging, both Betty Thomas (Private Parts) and Martha Coolidge (Valley Girl) are added to the list; so is Rough Night's Lucia Aniello and, thanks to Jumpin' Jack Flash, Penny Marshall. The Barden Bellas have graduated and moved out of their dorms, and on with their lives—away from Barden University, away from their stewardess-chic aca-uniforms, and away from each other. For most of them, though, post-college life has not been all that peachy-keen. Pitch Perfect 3 opens with Beca (Anna Kendrick) in her apparent dream job as a music producer, though we quickly find out she loathes it—and for good reason. Just as Beca’s career implodes, Chloe (Brittany Snow)—an Og Barden Bella also hitting rock bottom—demands that they, along with Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson), attend the Barden Bellas a cappella reunion that evening.
At the reunion, we find that while Chloe aspires to be a veterinarian—her day job stinks. Pilot hopeful Cynthia (Ester Dean) has flunked her latest flight test. Aubrey (Anna Camp) hates her job as a camp director. Stacie (Alexis Knapp) is eight months pregnant.

Is the Shadow Raiders unit a force with which to be reckoned during the first season of the Valor TV show on The CW? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether the TV show Valor is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren't considered, we'd like to offer you the chance to rate all the Valor season one episodes below. A CW military drama, Valor stars Christina Ochoa, Matt Barr, Charlie Barnett, Corbin Reid, W. Trè Davis, Nigel Thatch, and Melissa Roxburgh. Constantine TV Review (NBC)
The world of sci-fi television is growing by leaps and bounds, and the comic-related realm is especially skyrocketing as of late, but even in the new era of television, Constantine is a massive gamble. A weird hybrid of film noir-esque motifs and traditions, and the wildest fantasy filled with demons, angels and everything in between, it’s a story tailor made for self-professed comic geeks. Superheroes are one thing, but Constantine, popular as it is within its own circle, is a niche in a niche, and it’s in a small box in the corner of that room besides.
Convincing the numbers NBC is going to want isn’t going to be easy, and the somewhat half-hearted special effects budget isn’t going to help.

It’s that time again, and the Fall TV schedule is packed this year. It somehow seems that there aren’t as many new shows hitting, but there are some big ones.
On the other hand, that’s a good sign for the popularity of returning shows, even if some of them may be pushing their luck at this point. Sticking with shows that work is great, but at some point we’re milking things, and don’t actually have fresh ideas to work into the routine. I’m oddly curious to see how some of these long-running series perform, especially with the cable networks throwing out a lot of great shows.
At any rate, there’s a lot going on, so let’s just jump into the mix.
Links in the schedule are to reviews, and this page will be updated as reviews become available. New shows are in blue.

Samuel Goldwyn Films has released the new trailer and poster for their upcoming film The Last Of Robin Hood starring Kevin Kline, Susan Sarandon & Dakota Fanning.
Errol Flynn, the swashbuckling Hollywood star and notorious ladies man, flouted convention all his life, but never more brazenly than in his last years when, swimming in vodka and unwilling to face his mortality, he undertook a liaison with an aspiring actress, Beverly Aadland.
The two had a high-flying affair that spanned the globe and was enabled by the girl’s fame-obsessed mother, Florence. It all came crashing to an end in October 1959, when events forced the relationship into the open, sparking an avalanche of publicity castigating Beverly and her mother – which only fed Florence’s need to stay in the spotlight. The Last Of Robin Hood is a story about the desire for fame and the price it exacts.

There is nothing more overpowering, reckless and all-consuming than the rush that accompanies first love…in all of its intensity and obsession, possibility and promise. It is a timeless theme in modern storytelling, dating back to Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, but one that remains urgently current because it serves as a rite of passage for everyone in every generation.
This Valentine’s Day, one young couple will fight against all odds for love.
Endless Love stars Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) in the story of a privileged girl and a charismatic boy whose instant desire sparks a love affair made only more reckless by parents trying to keep them apart.
Directed by Shana Feste (Country Strong), the romantic drama co-stars Robert Patrick, Bruce Greenwood, Rhys Wakefield, Dayo Okeniyi, Emma Rigby and Joely Richardson. Scott Stuber and Pamela Abdy (Identity Thief) of Bluegrass Films are joined...

Vampire Diaries Season 3 “Heart of Darkness” (3.19) Promo Images
Batter up! The Vampire Diaries is showing off the latest batch of promotional images for the show’s third season, with these demonstrating Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in character at a batting cage from “Heart of Darkness.” If you’re a Damon fan, you may not like seeing him get his butt handed to him, but he absolutely does. And in front of Elena and her brother no less! If I were him, I’d be incredibly embarrassed.
As I said, the episode will feature a batting cage setting, located in Denver. Elena and Damon drive out to pay a visit to Elena’s little brother Jeremy, who was sent up there to be kept safe. However, it’s hard to keep someone safe when they are deliberately hanging around people like Kol, who shows up at the cage and whacks Damon with a baseball bat.

Vampire Diaries – Bringing Out the Dead with Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev
Some serious drama is set to go down in the February 2nd episode of The Vampire Diaries, putting series stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder in what can only be described as one hell of a pickle (at least in the case of Somerhalder’s character; Dobrev’s Nina made get off easy, but we’ll see). There’s a familiar face returning to the series adding a little extra sizzle to the proceedings. If you’ve been following along you should have a pretty good idea who’s coming back to cause a little mayhem.
In the last episode, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) realized Damon (Somerhalder) had resurrected his older brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies). If you take a look at the promo images from The CW, available below, you can sort of piece together that even though Damon brought him back,...

There is something special about The Vampire Diaries that makes every episode stand out from the long list of serialized TV shows on broadcast networks. The showrunners rarely – if ever – give viewers filler episodes. If you have ever watched one of the series on the CW or the previous incarnation of the network – The WB – then you know that the shows mostly follow a procedural format. However, it’s the longer underlying story that keeps you locked in. Supernatural may do monster-of-the-week one-offs throughout a twenty-plus episode season, but you will always come back to follow the broader story arc. USA Network’s Burn Notice and White Collar follow the same pattern.
The Vampire Diaries has no filler. The story from one episode always bleeds into the next – quite literally at times. Now, I’m a die-hard fan of gritty shows like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev in Vampire Diaries Dangerous Liaisons
Why don’t I ever get to get all dressed up and dance with a vampire? I guess that’s because I didn’t go into acting. Lucky for you and I, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev, and Paul Wesley did get into acting and were chosen to bring to life the sultry characters of the CW’s Vampire Diaries. To further this lucky streak, Boomtron is here to deliver fabulously fresh looks at your favs in character and in costume on the set of their series.
On Feb. 9th you are invited to come on back to Mystic Falls. Bring your ball gown and do some stretching, because there looks to be plenty of dancing in store. The upcoming episode is called “Dangerous Liaisons”, and with Klaus in attendance, you can bet danger will definitely be on the menu.

I’ve got to say; Nina Dobrev is looking smoking hot in that white dress she wears in the third season premiere of The Vampire Diaries. And why wouldn’t she? The CW released a ton of promo pics for the upcoming premiere where most take place at Elena’s (Dobrev) 18th birthday party. There’s some interesting interactions caught on film.
You can check out all of the images at EW.com. Elena, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) have grouped together for some of the shots. Supposedly, Elena will be dealing with her attraction to Damon this season. Other photos show Caroline (Candice Accola) and Tyler (Michael Trevino) being awkward together. One of their shots together takes place before the party begins, evidenced by the party supplies in boxes and the daylight. Clearly the two are setting things up. Most...

The CW is delivering even more Vampire Diaries goodies for season 3. Last week we were treated to a trailer for the new season (view it here) and now the network has released promotional photos from the upcoming season premiere.
