The teaser of the upcoming Janhvi Kapoor and Gulshan Devaiah-starrer film ‘Ulajh’ was unveiled on Wednesday. It shows Janhvi’s character, a diplomat called Suhana, caught up in an internal conflict.
The teaser starts off with the notes of ‘Saare Jahan se Accha’ playing in the background. Janhvi is shown in the company of several top brass in an embassy. Gulshan Devaiah makes a cold entry with his voice-over without making an appearance in the teaser. However, his monologue delivery perfectly complements Janhvi’s appearance.
In the following shots, Janhvi can be seen engaging in a tussle with someone whom she also brutally whacks on the head, and then wipes the blood off the floor.
‘Ulajh’ follows the journey of a young diplomat, who, belonging to a prominent family of patriots, and finds herself embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy while far from her home turf, at a career-defining post.

Zee End Is Nigh
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., the disappointed bride in the failed engagement between Zee and Sony India, has formally ended its quest for a merger. On Tuesday, it withdrew its application before the industry regulator National Company Law Tribunal and said that it will focus instead on internal growth. Pulling the Nclt application also makes it somewhat easier for Zee to pursue its arbitration and other legal actions against Sony.
The plan to merge the two mid-size film and TV businesses was on the table for over two years, but finally (acrimoniously) collapsed in January 2024. Sony is also seeking restitution from Zee, which it says failed to live up to the agreed merger terms. Since the wedding bells stopped ringing, Zee has also announced that it will slice its workforce by 15%.

Beyond Riverdale and the Archies there is this boarding school for girls Vandana Valley. It won’t be erroneous to call it The Valley Of the dolls.
The girls in the boarding school are young vivacious…, or perhaps, bindaas would be a better word… I am sure the young ladies of this cutely compelling series would like to known as bindaas.
Here’s a world so bindaas that the girls are allowed to check out boys’ …you know the world that rhymes with bindaas?
Ok ok. I am being coy. These teenaged pleasure seekers would probably think restrain to be sign of incorrigible fuddy-duddy-ness. But here is the thing: Big Girls Don’t Cry is not just an alibi for bad behaviour.
These girls are no rebels with a cause. They just won’t to be recognized for what they are, good, bad or lesbian. Yes, there is a strong same-sex angle,...

Mumbai, Dec 7 (Ians) Filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria’s ‘Sanaa’ has revealed that the film is inspired by the #MeToo realities. Six years after premiering his debut feature “Loev” in Tallinn – a Lgtbq romantic drama that addressed the problems of the gay minority in India, Sudhanshu Saria is back at Black Nights Film Festival with a film about a young, succesfull woman who is dealing with a series of injustices and a personal drama. Built up around a seemingly simple story about the hardships a single, ambitious woman has to deal with in a deeply patriarchal society, “Saraa” could have turned into another tale about difficult choices many women have to make, if it weren’t for intelligently plotted details about the titular character and her environment.
Saria is not making it easy for Sanaa whose carefully built image of toughness slowly decomposes in front of our eyes. On the other hand, he succeeds in guarding her hard-as-nails image in the storyline itself. When she first appears on screen, Sanaa...
