Laverne Cox is becoming an Emmy magnet in the guest acting categories, collecting her third nomination as Sophia Burset this year for “Orange Is the New Black.” She made history in 2014 with her nomination in Best Comedy Guest Actress as the first openly transgender person nominated for an Emmy for acting, for the first season of “Orange Is the New Black.” After the show switched genre classification from comedy to drama, she was nominated in 2017 for Season 4 in the Best Drama Guest Actress category. She has now earned another nomination in Best Drama Guest Actress for Season 6 of the Netflix dramedy, for the episode “Well This Took a Dark Turn.”

Orange Is the New Black takes more than a few painfully real twists in its final season. While they can be difficult to watch, Beth Dover, who plays Linda Ferguson, says they were just as difficult to shoot. In between practicing her catwalk for New York Fashion Week and preparing for her leading role in her husband Joe Lo Truglio's upcoming horror film Outpost, Dover hopped on the phone to talk to us about what it was like to play one of the most notable villains on a show that addresses so many relevant political and cultural issues. "It's a good reminder that villains don't always have to be super scary-looking to be effective," Dover said.
While Linda might not seem like she's pure evil at first glance, with her perfectly coiffed hair and put-together skirt suits, that all changes the minute she opens her mouth. From excitedly showing...

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Orange Is the New Black season six, but it's been out for almost a week - what are you waiting for?!
Daddy and Daya? Sweet, minus the drugs. Blanca and Diablo? Super cute, but ultimately heartbreaking. Hopper and Aleida? Hard pass. In true typical Orange Is the New Black fashion, season six had no shortage of relationships, but we're putting it right out there and saying that Joe Caputo (Nick Sandow) and Natalie Figueroa (Alysia Reiner) are hands down the cutest couple of the 2018 release. While their relationship could pretty much be described as "hate f*cking" prior to this season, things take a compassionate turn and get quite romantic in postriot territory.
It should come as no surprise that Caputo is pissed at Fig for taking his job and stepping in as interim warden while he is on paid leave, but the moment...

Every show needs a crass, quick-mouthed character to really keeps you on your toes, right? Lea Delaria fills that spot for us on Orange Is the New Black as Big Boo. But now that we're into season six, we're introduced to a bunch of new characters, and a few veterans are left out of the picture. One question on our minds is: Where's Big Boo this season?
After the Litchfield Penitentiary riot ceases in season five, the inmates were transferred to the Litchfield maximum-security campus. However, not every character just goes down the hill. Some are moved to other prisons - including one 1,500 miles away. We only see Big Boo in one scene in season six, at which point we see she's included in the group of women who don't stay at Litchfield.
In that scene in episode three, we get a glimpse of Big Boo waiting in line to...

We waited one long, tough year for this. Season six of Orange Is the New Black is finally upon us, and there are plenty of call backs to what went down last season during that whole riot extravaganza. As a brief refresher: there was a pregnancy announcement, an engagement, near-death experiences, scalpings, pure mayhem, and . . . well, a whole lot more. These are the big events that happen throughout season five so you're fully prepared to binge-watch season six.
So you've been warned, there are Huge season five spoilers ahead.
