Epic war-time survival tale “The Guns of Muschu” has already assembled a weighty cast ahead of a production start in the first quarter of 2025.
The film is an adaptation of the non-fiction book “The Guns of Muschu,” written by Don Dennis, with an adapted screenplay by Tom Broadhurst and Jack Brislee (“Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan”). The narrative brings to life a pivotal chapter of Australian war history with gritty authenticity, recounting the high body count Operation Copper, a mission during WWII when Australian and New Zealand troops were sent into the jungles of Papua New Guinea.
The objective of the mission was to investigate the Japanese defenses on Muschu Island, capture a Japanese officer for interrogation and discover the location of two naval guns on the island that were protecting a harbor. Eight commandos were landed as part of the operation, but only one survived.

Killer Collectibles highlights five of the most exciting new horror products released each and every week, from toys and apparel to artwork, records, and much more.
Here are the coolest horror collectibles unveiled this week!
Universal Monsters Bobbleheads from Neca
Neca will add four Universal Monsters to its Head Knockers line of bobbleheads in August. Priced at 34.99, Dracula, Frankenstein, Bride of Dracula, and The Wolf Man are made of hand-painted resin and stand 8″ tall.
The sculpts are pretty fun on these, although I’m not sure why the necks are comically long when Neca’s other bobbleheads don’t have that issue. The prototypes are pictured, so maybe they’ll iron that out before production.
B’Twixt Now and Sunrise: The Authentic Cut Blu-ray from Lionsgate
2011’s Twixt was an ambitious, if flawed, Gothic horror film from the great Francis Ford Coppola that failed to land with critics and audiences alike.

The Walking Dead is back...
But an essential character did not survive The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 9.
We're about to delve into spoiler territory, so consider yourself spoiler warned.
Callan McAuliffe's Alden was confirmed dead in the premiere's final moments, after being Mia since The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 3.
The fan-favorite was last seen in a bad way when Negan and Maggie left him in a church when they tried to escape from the Reapers.
Angela Kang shed light on how the big death went down in an interview with Comicbook.com.
"I think the Reapers — who all have military training, special forces training, military contractor training — they know how to track people," Kang said to the outlet.
"They were on the trail of our folks, or they picked it up at some point, and a guy was sent out to pick up the loose ends, and they found him.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 9, “No Other Way.”] The Walking Dead is back, and the 11B premiere of AMC’s post-apocalyptic zombie drama was nothing short of explosive. To recap, after firing many fireworks at our favorite survivors’ heads, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) officially ended the war against the Reapers with a slaughter. A lovelorn Daryl (Norman Reedus), Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam), redemption-arc Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and a revenge-seeking Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari) helped Maggie to obtain the food needed to save the remaining Alexandrians from near-starvation, despite some varying opinions on her little murder spree. Reapers leader and Daryl’s former S.O. Leah (Lynn Collins) escapes. Also, we finally learn the fate of the injured Alden (Callan McAuliffe) after many episodes away; and Negan abandons the group, walking off into the woods (more on that below). But the biggest reveal? Daryl removing a Commonwealth helmet from his head in...

"I just want to listen to your voice... it makes me feel safe." Anam Cara Films has released an official trailer for the indie film Him & Her, a romantic drama from Chicago filmmaker Íce Mrozek. It takes us back to 1989 when everyone still used landline telephones, telling a story about a unique crossed lines connection. These crossed lines lead to a life changing conversation between two strangers, who eventually meet in an unusual way. "I just want this feeling to last." Starring Cristina Spruell and Callan McAuliffe as "her and him". This reminds me of the film Frequency but with an entirely different premise, though the phone is important to plot. I like these kind of stories and I'm curious to find out what happens when they finally try to meet up. Maybe it will work out? Or maybe it will mean something anyway no matter what happens? This The Walking Dead review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 3
“Hunted” opens in a flurry of action. Blades and arrows come flying in out of the darkness. Most of Maggie’s companions stumble and fall, as do their hunters. Some get back up and scramble away towards safety, or in pursuit of someone. Most don’t. At least, not until they presumably turn into walkers and join the omnipresent background noise of the undead. As far as cold openings go, this one runs hot, and while it burns itself out quickly, it’s a perfect set-up for the following episode, which features The Walking Dead in hunting mode for both the A plot and the B plot.
At the center of both plots is hunger. Everyone in Alexandria is hungry, slowly starving to death as rations peter out and the fields fail to provide enough to sustain the population.

Zombies pour through a massive hole burned through the central gate and shielded warriors do their best to contain the breach. Ezekiel (Khary Payton) gathers the children and ushers them to an exit, but Judith (Cailey Fleming) has gone missing. The “little ass kicker” is taking out a group of the undead with her sword,...

Dante, a key character from The Walking Dead comic book is finally coming to the TV series in Season 10.
The Walking Dead’s upcoming tenth season will arrive this fall under the weight of outside context, with the developing TV movies that will focus on Andrew Lincoln’s returning Rick Grimes, the imminent exit of Michonne actress Danai Gurira, and the most recent development, the sudden end to the show’s primary source material in Robert Kirkman’s comic book series. Indeed, an endgame for the show now seems visible on the horizon. While things will likely be clearer after Comic-Con next week, some news has surfaced about a character from the comic series who’s set for a (belated) TV debut in Season 10.

Just when we thought The Walking Dead could get no bloodier, we're reminded that the series still has plenty of surprises up its sleeve.
Ever since viewers were given the first signs that the Whisperers were coming, the show has built up to the "Fair of New Beginnings," which is such a terrible name for a fair when your life has been nothing but constant anarchy and danger, right? It's practically begging for a grisly surprise. But I digress - it feels like we've been waiting for this episode since Negan was taken down. Now that it's finally happened, though, we know that things play out quite differently than expected.

‘The Walking Dead’ episode 11 recap: Top 5 moments from ‘Bounty’ include a tense hostage negotiation
For a moment, life in the land of the undead is peaceful. Episode 11 begins with a flashback showing Jesus (Tom Payne) handing the abandoned community charter to Ezekiel (Khary Payton). Jerry (Cooper Andrews) announces that his girlfriend Nabila is pregnant. The Kingdom and Hilltop are preparing for the upcoming fair, holding out hope that Alexandria will join them. “It’s all going to work out” the King declares. But as a threat descends on the survivor communities, Ezekiel’s moment of hope is ultimately too good to be true. Here are the five best moments from “Bounty.”
Standoff
Alpha (Samantha Morton) stands firm outside the walls of Hilltop, demanding the return of her daughter Lydia (Cassady McClincy). Daryl (Norman Reedus) rebukes her at first and tells her to make her people turn back. She is unmoved. “You crossed into our land. No conflict. You killed our people. No conflict” she says.

The rest of the group manages to fight off the remaining Whisperers and walkers before barring the gate to the cemetery, though we see a Whisperer unlocking the gate before the opening titles roll.
In Alexandia, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is out of his cell and walking through the streets. He sneaks into Michonne’s (Danai Gurira) home, where he enters Judith’s (Cailey Fleming) bedroom. He sees a drawing of her and her family on the wall before stealing a compass hanging on a hook. At daybreak, Negan tries to sneak out by climbing over the wall,...

The Walking Dead finds a new way to give zombies back their bite while prison takes on a new importance.
This The Walking Dead review contains spoilers.
The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 9
Zombies on The Walking Dead are only a threat to our survivors when they're in large groups. Anything smaller than a herd tends to be easy pickings, more or less, if one of the main characters isn't alone or caught unaware due to shooting-related hearing loss. Various attempts have been made to make the zombies more of a menace, from the massive well zombie in season 2 to the zombie torso attached to another zombie seen in this episode, but they usually don't work as a real threat.
The Whisperers have changed that. From the first moment a zombie pulled out a blade and attacked Jesus, zombies are dangerous again, and throughout “Adaptation,” that secondary threat looms large in every scene involving a walker.

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus may have kept their December wedding out of the public eye as much as possible, but that didn’t stop their not-so-secret newlywed status from being the running joke of the G’Day USA awards gala on Saturday night.
While presenting the “Hunger Games” star with the excellence in film award, Vince Vaughn expressed his gratitude for the “mate-ship” he formed with Hemsworth on the set of their upcoming movie “Arkansas” — though he did have one concern about their relationship.
“We’re obviously not that great of a mate-ship because I wasn’t invited to the wedding,” Vaughn joked. “I don’t know. That may or may not have happened. I don’t know.”
Vaughn continued to prod the couple about the nuptials at every turn in his speech, prompting a middle finger from Cyrus and several eye-rubs from Hemsworth.
