“Underworld: Awakening” (2012)
Directed By: Mands Marlind & Björn Stein
Written By: Len Wiseman, Joh Hlavin, J. Michael Staczynski & Allison Burnett
Starring: Kate Beckinsale (Selene), Stephen Rea (Dr. Jacob Lane), Michael Ealy (Detective Sebastian), Theo James (David), India Eisley (Eve), Sandrine Holt (Lida), Charles Dance (Thomas), Jacob Blair (Officer Kolb ),
“Underworld: Awakening” is the forth installment of the “Underworld” franchise. This film was originally released in 3D. This movie is clearly full of non stop acting and plenty of scenes that would be “in your face” for the 3D audience. I felt this movie focused more on the action scenes and lacked focus on a cohesive plot.
The fact that a viewer would have a hard time figuring out how this film connects to the prior sequels and the lack of character development makes this movie rather disappointing.

Director: Michael Greenspan Writer: Christopher Dodd Starring: Adrien Brody, Caroline Dhavernas, Ryan Robbins, Adrian Holmes, Jacob Blair There is a wrecked car and two dead bodies: one in the backseat, one laying outside the car. The lone survivor, a nameless character (Adrien Brody), is pinned in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Visibly bruised and bleeding, he tries as hard as he possibly can to get out of the car. It begins to rain and he finds himself cold and wet and just plain scared. His right leg is pinned somewhere underneath the glove compartment; his head is riddled with amnesia. He cries. He mutters curses. He moans. He writhes in pain. There is a pistol underneath the front seat. A female hiker (Caroline Dhavernas) appears to him. There is a mountain lion and a rifle-wielding man (Adrian Holmes). What is real? What are his dreams or hallucinations? What the fuck?...

Even if he manages to survive, the man may have to face the horrible consequences of an earlier, forgotten life. The Wrecked Movie Trailer 2 has premiered. Michael Greenspan‘s Wrecked (2011) stars Adrien Brody, Jacob Blair, Adrian Holmes, and Caroline Dhavernas. Wrecked (2011)’s plot synopsis: “Adrien Brody stars as a man who awakens in a mangled car-wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. Injured and trapped inside, with no memory of how he got there or who he is, he must rely on his most primal instincts to survive.” I do not know if I like this movie trailer better than the first Wrecked (2011) Movie Trailer but I do like that Adrien Brody’s character suffers from violent flashbacks and delusions. The viewer is also kept in the dark as to whether his character is good or bad and who is chasing him, if anyone. It could all be just in his head. Watch the second Wrecked movie trailer below and leave your thoughts on it. No word yet when...

A domestic trailer for IFC Films' "Wrecked" has arrived via Apple ahead of its U.S. release on April 1. It focuses on Adrien Brody's character who awakens in a mangled car-wreck at the bottom of a steep cliff. He's injured, his legs are trapped, and he has no memory of who he is or how he got there.
His only company are a crackling radio broadcast of a violent bank robbery gone wrong, and a corpse in the back seat with a wallet identifying him as one of the perpetrators. As the man ventures beyond the wreckage, he must rely on his primal instincts, using anything he can find in the surrounding wilderness to increase his chances of survival.

Wrecked has a new trailer, which beautiful portrays this reviewer's home province, British Columbia. The film was shot in Errington, B.C. and now there is a trailer for this picture, even though the release date is a ways away - 2011. Alliance will distribute in Canada, with further distributors to announce shortly.
The film involves a bank robbery, amnesia and those dang' wildcats known as cougars. Adrien Brody stars as the Man and he must find his way out of a car wreck in an isolated forest. With no memory, the Man must come to terms with his violent past and with the even deadlier elements. This part-time hiker can assure you that B.C. is rarely as dangerous as the trailer suggests.

Wrecked is a little Canadian flick I've had my eyes on for well over a year. It was shot in British Columbia and is currenlty in post-production, but no matter how hard I tried, or who I begged, I just couldn't unearth any images or footage from the film.
