There will be no fourth season for Travelers. Netflix has cancelled the sci-fi series after three seasons. Star Eric McCormack revealed the news Friday via social media.
“A lot of you have been asking about the possibility of a season four, but many of you have been saying, ‘Look, if this is it, what a moving and surprising and profound ending it is,’” McCormack wrote. “Well, I’m afraid it is. Who knows what the future holds, but Travelers Program 1, as we call it, is complete … Much love from 3468 in the 21st.”
Created by Brad Wright, and starring McCormack, Travelers is set hundreds of years from now when the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century. These “travelers” assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working as teams to perform missions in order to save humanity from a terrible future.

Although the cancelation means there won't be a Travelers season 4, the final episode will serve as a satisfying ending for some.
After a foreboding delay, Netflix has decided that Travelers season 4 is not to be as the network has canceled the time travel series. Despite the opportunities presented by the possibility of a true reset, with the fabled director of the future creating a version 2.0 of the travelers program, fans will have to be satisfied with the thought that Agent MacLaren provided the opportunity for a more successful mission to save the future.
Star and executive producer Eric McCormack of Will and Grace fame made the announcement via Twitter, expressing gratitude to the fans for their support. "Thank you for your ravenous response to season 3 worldwide," he said in his video. "It's been really gratifying for all of us... Travelers program one, as we call it, is complete.

Reilly Dolman, who plays Philip the historian with the flawless memory in Netflix’s Travelers, talks about his character and career.
The following interview is spoiler-free for Travelers season 3.
With the return of Travelers season 3 on December 14, Netflix quietly continues one of the smartest science fiction series on television, and part of the show’s brilliance lies in its understated references to a devastated future from which the travelers of the show’s title originate. Only glimpses are shared, for example, of how Philip Pearson, the historian of the team that’s trying to correct history, is able to remember every minute detail about the 21st century. Sneak Peek "Travelers", the post-apocalyptic future series created by Brad Wright, starring Eric McCormack, Mackenzie Porter, Jared Abrahamson, Nesta Cooper, Reilly Dolman and Patrick Gilmore, debuting Season 3 on Netflix December 14, 2018:
"...in a post-apocalyptic future, thousands of special 'operatives' are tasked with preventing the collapse of society. These operatives, known as 'travelers', have their consciousnesses sent back in time and transferred into the body of present-day individuals who would otherwise be moments from death, to minimize unexpected impact on the timeline.
"The transfer requires the exact location of the target, made possible by twenty-first century smart phones and Gps. Prepared using social media and public records concerning their targets, each traveler must maintain the host's pre-existing life as cover for the rest of their lives, while carrying out missions in teams of five.

Hello, fellow Traveler. Welcome back to the 21st. (“Century” that is.)
Netflix’s sci-fi series returns for its third season on Dec. 14, hitting just in time for Christmas bingeing. In the Canadian series, operatives called Travelers from the future have been sent back to the 21st century in order to carry out various missions set out by the Director in order to hopefully prevent the future calamities that are endangering the human race. The operative takes over the contemporary host body just seconds before that person is supposed to die and then takes over their life as a cover.
When last we left the operative Grant McLaren (Eric McCormack) and his team – Marcy (MacKenzie Porter), Carly (Nesta Cooper), Trevor (Jared Abrahamsson), and Philip Pearson (Reilly Dolman) – they’d been outmaneuvered to reveal their true identities by the very first operative ever, Traveler 001. He previously had taken the body of host...

While “Travelers” first debuted on Netflix last year right before Christmas, it returns for its second season the day after, timed perfectly for the lull between Christmas and New Year’s. While the show has evolved some since the beginning, it still maintains its most satisfying qualities: an exploration of the human condition in all of its messy glory, and depictions of the most ingenious, yet disturbing means of time travel on screen.
A quick recap before diving into the new season: Operatives called Travelers from the future have been sent back to the 21st century in order to carry out various missions set out by the Director, in order to hopefully present the future calamities that are endangering the human race. ‘Travelers’ Review: Netflix’s Fun and Freaky Time-Travel Series Makes Us Appreciate Our Present Time
At this point, seasoned Netflix viewers may feel like they’ve seen it all when it comes to imaginative storytelling, whether it be science fiction, supernatural, fantasy or whatever “The Oa” is. The streaming platform’s latest foreign acquisition, Canada’s “Travelers,” is a much simpler type of project, almost a throwback, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Released on the same day as Guillermo Del Toro’s family-friendly “Trollhunters” and the “Sense8” Christmas special, it appears that “Travelers” is meant to be the third leg in the triumvirate of holiday-binge programming. Released on the same day as Guillermo Del Toro’s family-friendly “Trollhunters” and the “Sense8” Christmas special, it appears that “Travelers” is meant to be the third leg in the triumvirate of holiday-binge programming. 2016 is fast drawing to a close, but there’s still enough time for an original Netflix series to make its premiere. And so, following the recent stealth release of Zal Batmanglij’s sci-fi mystery The Oa, the online streamer is on the verge of debuting Travelers.
Cut from the same sci-fi cloth as The Oa, Travelers is a 12-part series hatched by Brad Wright, best known for his work across both Stargate Sg-1 and Stargate: Atlantis. Set in the distant future, the elevator pitch involves a crack team of Travelers who possess the ability to send someone’s consciousness back in time to inhabit a body in the 21st century – think of Wolverine’s jaunt back in time from Days of Future Past.
Featuring a cast led by Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), Brad Wright’s imminent series finds humanity on its last legs, and ahead of tomorrow’s premiere, the...

Back in April, Netflix picked up the time-traveling sci-fi series, “Travelers,” starring Eric McCormack. The show debuted on the Canadian TV channel Showcase in October and is now finally making its way to the streaming service. Ahead of its premiere this Friday, Netflix has unleashed the first official trailer.
“Travelers” is set hundreds of years from now when the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century. Led by FBI Special Agent Grant MacLaren (McCormack), these “travelers” take on the bodies of random people and work together to save humanity from a terrible future. Mackenzie Porter, Patrick Gilmore, Jared Paul Abrahamson, Nesta Marlee Cooper, and Reilly Dolman co-star.

Netflix has released the first trailer for a new, interesting, and original series that they've developed called Travelers. The series stars Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) as an FBI agent who leads a group of time bandit travelers on a mission to save the future. What's interesting about these travelers is that the time traveling is done through a technology that sends their consciousness through time and into another body. The synopsis explains:
Hundreds of years from now, the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century. These “travelers” assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working as teams to perform missions in order to save humanity from a terrible future. These travelers are: FBI Special Agent Grant MacLaren (Eric McCormack), the team’s leader; Marcy (Mackenzie Porter), a young, intellectually disabled woman in the care of her social worker,...

Another day, another time travel series announced. The trend of timey-wimey TV doesn’t seem to be getting erased from existence any time soon. Will & Grace alum Eric McCormack will star in a new sci-fi series called Travelers on Netflix, the streaming service announced on Tuesday. Netflix is making the project in partnership with Canadian broadcaster Showcase. Travelers (not to be confused with the excellent and short-lived 2007 thriller series Traveler, if any of y’all remember that) comes from Stargate SG-1 creator Brad Wright, and among the cast is Stargate alum Patrick Gilmore. Here’s the full premise — Quantum Leap but with more social media and more FBI: Hundreds of years from now, the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time, directly into people in the 21st century. These "travelers" assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working as teams to perform missions...

I’ll admit I have a soft spot for the scarecrow film. Ever since I was terrified by a TV screening of Dark Night of the Scarecrow back in the 80s, I’ve seen just about every scarecrow-related film going – even those that should probably have never seen the light of day! So of course I Had to see Scarecrow. Even moreso given that it’s (yet another) Canadian genre film and it stars Robin Dunne, an actor whose career I’ve followed ever since I saw him in Cruel Intentions 2 (yes, I liked that film – even more than the original).
The film sees school teacher Aaron Harris (Dunne) doling out punishment to six students serving detention,...

Over the course of their time Hunting, the Winchesters have found many allies, some within the community of Hunters, other from cases they have worked. One such individual in the latter camp is Sheriff Jody Mills, an acquaintance of Bobby’s who first crossed paths with the Winchesters in Season 5’s “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid”. This week sees Sheriff Mills make a return to the show as she brings the brothers their newest case, in an entertaining outing that brings back a familiar group of monsters.

When a movie only recoups its production budget by $7 million*, like 2006’s Flicka did, you would like to think a studio would look to newer properties before investing in a sequel for that less than lucrative feature. However, weighing that prospect against the admitted shortage of family friendly films you begin to understand how Fox might believe they could cash in one last time on the Flicka franchise’s name before fully putting it down. However, what’s harder to fathom is the strategy of a direct-to-dvd sequel. The original film didn’t garner nearly enough recognition to make parents seek out a sequel on the shelves without being prompted by a theatrical release. Despite getting Patrick Warburton (the man with a golden voice) to star in this family sequel, Fox has produced a largely flat and contrived film that even tweens will be hard-pressed to enjoy.
