- Gino Cimoli was born on December 18, 1929 in San Francisco, California, USA. He was an actor, known for The Red Skelton Hour (1951), 1956 World Series (1956) and Los Angeles Dodgers (1958). He died on February 12, 2011 in Roseville, California, USA.
- Outfielder for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers (1956-1958), St. Louis Cardinals (1959), Pittsburgh Pirates (1960-1961), Milwaukee Braves (1961), Kansas City Athletics (1962-1964), Baltimore Orioles (1964) and California Angels (1965).
- Led the American League in Triples (15) in 1962.
- Inducted into the Pittsburgh chapter of the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
- (September 24, 1957) Playing with the Brooklyn Dodgers, he scored the last run at Ebbets Field. The following season the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles.
