- Gareth is a London based actor, writer and director. He is originally from the South Wales Valleys, and has spoken Welsh since childhood. After studying English at Swansea University, he was awarded a scholarship to study acting at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, and then worked extensively in theatre, film and television.
In parallel, he began developing experimental improvised and devised theatre, which led him to study with the MA Theatre Lab at RADA.
He has since written two plays, Boy for Life and Shalott and the recently published A to B: Conversations on Common Ground.
Boy for Life explores the lasting effects of conversion therapy and Shalott is his radical re-imagining of Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott as a queer dystopia. Shallot has been adapted into a feature film with Gareth playing Martuni, the central character. It has its premiere in 2023. His latest film, The Cottage, goes into production in 2024.
