Andrew Kinney has worked as an orchestrator for many distinguished film
composers, including Christopher Lennertz, John Powell, Mark Isham,
Henry Jackman, John Debney, Brian Tyler, David Newman, and John
Frizzell.
He holds a B.Mus. from the University of Wisconsin, an M.A. from the
University of Minnesota, and an Advanced Studies Certificate from the
University of Southern California, where he studied film composition
with
Elmer Bernstein,
Bruce Broughton,
Christopher Young, and others.
He has received awards from BMI and the Harry Warren Foundation.
In addition to his work as an orchestrator, Andrew Kinney composes
original music for the concert hall. His music has been performed
across the U.S.
His spare time is spent with his wife and three sons, and playing
classical music on the piano.
